Old ID Requests?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, it's just a general query, but Mods please move this if not:

I was looking through my old Threads yesterday, and I noticed that it went back to a certain date, but seemed to be missing much older ID requests that I vaguely remembered making. I know that unsolved requests get moved to certain places, but I'm not sure if they would disappear from my thread list or not. So I guess what I'm asking is: Are they archived somewhere, or are they gone for good? Was there an incident years ago that might have wiped some of the old threads?

Prior to 2017, all solved MIR's were moved to the MIR Trash Bin, and could only be accessed by Mods. Starting in early 2017 the "Solved" MIR's were moved to a separate sub-section (link below), where they were searchable for all members. If there were multiple solved requests for the same individual, they were often merged together. I'm not sure if the original url addresses were preserved.

Unsolved MIR threads are moved to the Mystery Box as "posts" every few months, and I'm not sure if the v-Bulletin url thread address survived.

The requests I was was referring to were unsolved ones. I definitely can't find them now. I guess maybe the rules were different if you go back far enough. Maybe old requests just dropped off / were deleted?

I've asked the question in the model ID Request section too just in case anyone there can help.

I would just repost all of the lost requests and subscribe to those new threads. Eventually, if there's no solution for one and it gets moved to the Mystery Box, that pretty much tells you that a solution is unlikely in the short term. But there are a few oddball participants here (I have been one, although not at the moment) who go through the boxed mysteries to see whether there are any recognizable faces. So a request in the MB is not completely ignored. The fact that there are occasional "unfolded mysteries" posted to the main MIR forum, along with many more "MB followups", tells you that.

Sadly, I no longer have most of the images, which is one of the reasons I was trying to find them in the old requests.
