Key problem with that is they intentionally label people who are not fascist as such so that they will have a obligation to protest & even attack them. Same with the punch nazis trend. Yeah, there are dangerous fanatics among them, but we can't ignore that they did not arise in a vacuum. We see "antifa" demonized while right wing white supremacists are protected and enabled by law enforcement. You know things are getting ugly when suburban moms are getting permits, buying guns, getting training, and showing up to protect the left from right wing thugs. One such "antifa" group is the John Brown Gun Club.

We are witnessing the breakdown of our society and country again. Students of history will note the resemblance to the labor riots of the Gilded Age and the Great Depression.

Let me first start by saying I NEVER post in political threads. I do not particularly support any party & feel they are all corrupt. None has the interest of the country or people at heart imo.
I don't engage in political arguments or even much discussion with friends.
BUT I must ask a few questions as I observe some posts here...

1) so to charlie - you were insulted/mad that some used "ANTIFA" ? You wanted them to use the full name and said ANTIFA was their (the poster's) preferred name?
Why is it wrong to call them ANTIFA? that isn't derogatory is it? Isn't that what they call themselves? It is just easier to say/write abbreviation than say/write it out, right?
Just curious why you chimed in ad corrected him.

2) bigtrain - you say dem/lib are against hypocrisy of Christianity and then reel off your list of their short comings and hypocritical stances in your mind (which I agree w btw), BUT you only mentioned and rattled off items about Christianity when you were saying you weren't anti religion.
So, I must ask..what do you feel about Muslims killing/stoning/throwing off buildings homosexuals? What about not allowing women to drive? What about making them walk behind men? What about making them cover their faces and bodies? What about beating them for adultery?
I am curious if you are offended by any of these "values" of Muslim religion? If so, You didn't mention it in your defense of "Anti-religion" comment.

I do not begrudge him making money. Good for him. He used his presidency to sell books and charge for speaking fees. He certainly didn't have $15M for house prior to the White House. He was a community organizer.

I was just scrolling through and these spirited posts of these 2 posters stood out to me.
From my view, your vitriol is exactly the type thinking that alienates "middle America" & many people. I wouldn't be surprised if many of the views here and the political correctness of today actually pushes people away from the Democrats and toward Trump by default. People don't like being called "racist" & "fascist" because they disagree w someone. It's an incendiary tactic like calling someone a child molester.

So, what are your thoughts on my questions...curious/..

do we begrudge Obama for getting money? No. It was what he ended up having to do to get that money which a lot of the left has a problem with. He bailed out and enriched the ownership class at the expense of the working class. He also abandoned and eventually betrayed the working class and the book deals and speaking fees are repayment for his service to Capital.

the community organizer part of his bio was always put in there to make him seem more common then he actually was If you look at the schools that he attended they were basically all private institutions would Hefty price tags. it's good (IMO) to see that you don't blindly love him just because he's cool or is young or whatever. yeah. he was centrist and banker friendly, not hardly anti 1% stuff.
lot of democrats / lib defend him no matter what.
i wasn't trying to incite anyone and just want to sit back and read..but those 2 posters stood out to me as being vocal about calling or implying people were bigots and hypocrites.

thanks for the reply. but the alleged hatred was of religion not just christianity so i wondered why you singled out christianity. and yes, there are pedo priests. they should all be in jail. and have their riches stolen.
lol..well, i said i don't post on stuff like this but while i am responding i must say..i was a little annoyed w the pope that everyone loves so much when he came to US. everyone was fawning all over him how cool he was and that he was a latino. but it sort of pissed me off that he never addressed the institutionalized abuse and he was complicit in letting priests who were molesters just flee the US and set up shop in the vatican. pretty sick ad not very "Christ like" imo .

Shortly after President Obama took office, I remember watching an interview with his wife Michelle. (At the time I didn't know anything about him, he seemed to come out of nowhere.) The interviewer asked her about their first date and she replied "He took me to a town hall meeting". At that point it became very apparent to me this guy was nothing more than a good ol' boy career politician.
