People from the UK may know that before hardcore was legalised, a trip to Soho (if you were lucky - some shops were better than others) could get you some decent magazines. But usually they were already wrapped in polythene with only the cover showing. Often these weren't complete mags, but a frankenstein monster of various mags put together. I always supposed this was done because certain material had to be removed from the mags, including much of the anal, leaving lots of half mags around, which were put together and sold to unsuspecting punters. Actually it didn't matter much at the time.

I have quite a few of these hybrids but it's hard to tell which mags the sets all belong to, or if the sets are complete (probably not).

I know all too well about the 'Frankenstein Monsters' of various mags put together. Ended up buying a couple of those from Soho shops. I always thought it was done just to rip-off the punter and to make him part with his cash believing he was buying the real deal.

I got very few now . I had a load ,but donated the to my workplace (what a kind soul I can be sometimes LOL )
I have got a years worth of "Fiesta" , from about 5 years ago . I subscribed to it for a year , but it's not as good as it was .
I've also got a copy of "over 50 " .
The oldest in my collection is a copy of "Fiesta" from 1976 . What a great mag that was back then :-)
