This is a real loss for stand up comedy. He was a very intelligent, insightful, interesting and funny comic. An extremely smart guy who graduated from Harvard Law School and stopped practicing law to pursue his comedy career. A comic warrior who would absolutely dismantle would be hecklers with his biting wit. He had a great reputation among other comics and he will be deeply missed. Quick, self effacing, thought provoking, clever, he had it all. He also had his demons. Take a listen to some of his clips below. RIP Greg.....you left waaaay too soon.

My favourite quote from Tony Curtis

"I wouldn't be seen dead with a woman old enough to be my wife"

Pretty much sums him up, IMO.

He lived the dream.

RIP

Tony Curtis was brilliant as the foil to Roger Moore in 'The Persuaders' in the 1970's. As Danny Wilde, the oil tycoon he and Lord Brett Sinclair(Moore) would solve problems and put things to rights as troubleshooters for The Judge(Lawrence Naismith) and usually fight over a woman. I always thought it would make a good film or even a remake with them in cameo roles-alas this can't happen now.

Curtis is the straight man in it and doesn't have too many laughs but Lemmon and others are quite funny in it. And you get to see Natalie Wood covered head to toe in whipped cream.
I'd almost forgotten about "The Great Race." Not only great leads in Curtis and Lemmon, but great support from Keenan Wynn, Peter Falk, Larry Storch, Ross Martin and the incredibly hot Natalie Wood.

Years ago, my older sister had a VCR that could play tapes backwards at normal speed. The pie fight from "The Great Race" is 10x funnier in reverse.
