I have it on good authority that Vince often believes as many as six impossible things before breakfast each day.

I hatew to remind anyone of what I've previously written in this thread, but I'm positive the EU and the NWO lot will make sure either Brexit doesn't happen or that it will be so soft that it may as well not have happened.

Twelve weeks apparently. He will probably be out after six weeks or less and chances are he'll be sent to Ford Open Prison, the celebrity holiday camp. But still, at least he didn't get off.

To be frank, I dislike Gina Miller and dislike her trouble making and attention seeking behaviour; but she was within her rights to do as she did and the very personal harrassment she received from others, not Rhoddri Phillips only, was not right and not legitimate. I do hope he has a very unpleasant stay at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel because he deserves it.

Default Tony Blair says EU could compromise on freedom of movement

Some EU leaders may be prepared to compromise on the free movement of people to help Britain stay in the single market, Tony Blair has said.

He told the Today programme one option was for Britain "staying within a reformed EU".

The ex-PM said he would not disclose conversations he had had in Europe - but insisted he was not speaking "on a whim".

The government insists Brexit will give the UK greater control of its borders.

Labour's shadow chancellor, John McDonnell, said Mr Blair "hadn't really listened to the nature of the debate going on in the pubs, the clubs and school gates".

"We have to respect the referendum result," Mr McDonnell said, adding that Labour could "negotiate access to the single market".

So...Britain had to begin the formal process of leaving the EU in order to obtain some indication from the EU leaders that they might be willing to concede some form of greater control over immigration to Britain as a national entity. And Mr Blair, who is the man who opened the doors to the freedom of movement without needing to bother with the seven year transition period, is on the case.

It is a bit late to be offering concessions now. It suggests that the EU was being intransigent because it thought the British people would blink first and might now make us an offer of sorts only because we have really gone through with it. To say this is frustrating is like saying Attila the Hun had anger management problems. Are we really being asked to Remain on the basis that...now...finally...the EU might be willing to listen properly to our concerns?
  1. Why did it have to come to this before anyone was prepared to even entertain the idea of controls over the freedom of movement under any circumstances? Mr Juncker is suing us in the European Court of Justice for refusing to give council flats to EU citizens as soon as they arrive at Victoria Coach Station.
  2. After everything which has occurred it is going to rather hard for all concerned if we were to resume commitment to EU membership. There is going to be an awful lot of damage to repair and a lot of mutual forgiveness needed.
  3. Fucking well sell the point of EU membership to us! The Remain campaign had months to do this and all it had to say was that leaving was going to be just terrible. I am sorry. If I am being asked to change my mind I need a damn good and positive reason to try again. The falling pound and disruption to the economy are not pleasant things; but it is not about that, it is about our right to govern ourselves, control our borders and be an independent nation. If there is a way we can do that and also belong to the EU then hell yes, I am listening. But those are the reasons why I voted to Leave and I for one must have these things considered. I don't think they are wrong or unreasonable things,

I think it's anything else than helpful, when former PM Tony Blair -off all people- is debating about the Brexit or non-Brexit.

Could everyone in Europe please note that Blair has no power and no support. He is merely talking through his rectal orifice.

It gets better (or worse, depending on your point of view):

Tony Blair said he “feels sorry” for Theresa May as the “sharks” circle around her and plot to oust her as Prime Minister.

The former premier said he believed Mrs May had the “best interests of the country at heart” but that he “profoundly disagreed” with her vision and that she was being undermined by top Tories who are waiting to “throw her off the ledge”.

Mr Blair also said he believed it was “absolutely necessary” that Brexit does not go ahead as he accused the Conservatives and Labour of offering the UK “two different visions of the 1960s”.

Regardless who voted for Brexit or Remain, I think most of us in the UK are agreed that Bliar should either take a running jump off Beachy Head or be locked up in the Tower of London....
