Brooke Mills was a very capable and beautiful redhead actress, model and dancer who popped up in a handful of movies and TV shows during her regrettably short-lived career. She was born as Dolores Ann Williams on January 17, 1949 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Mills made her film debut with an uncredited bit part as a model in Live a Little, Love a Little (1968). Brooke gave an especially inspired and animated performance as pathetic whacked-out heroin addict prison inmate Harrad in Jack Hill's excellent babes-behind-bars drive-in exploitation romp The Big Doll House (1971). Her other memorable roles include the troubled Grace MacDonald in the odd horror feature Dream No Evil Blood Legacy (1971), and liberated photography teacher Tracy Davis in the immensely fun The Student Teachers (1973). Moreover, Mills had guest spots on such TV shows as "The F.B.I." (1965), "Night Gallery" (1970), "The Mod Squad" (1968), "Mission: Impossible" (1966), "Marcus Welby, M.D." (1969), "Barbary Coast" (1975), and "Police Story" (1970), the crazy Leslie Dean in the sleazy (1973). Mills called it a day as an actress in 1977.

She was photographed by famed glamour photographer Peter Gowland repeatedly. A few of his photos appeared in a P@boy publication called 'Eve Today'. She was also photographed by Frank Bez whose shots appeared in the July '72 issue of P---H---- magazine.

Very good, emslo! She deserved a thread of her own.

You can still find "The Big Doll House" out there in DVD land. She plays a drug addicted woman in an all girls prison set in the Phillipines, I think. Yes, there are some nude scenes, of course, but hers are rather brief, if I remember correctly.

I'd love to see her July 1972 P.H. pictorial "Brooke of Revelations" by Frank Bez, in case anybody has the issue and is willing to scan that.
