why does ebay remove my listing that contained no nude pics ?

Hi

I am totally perplexed these days by ebay

MC036 eBay Listing Removed: Adult Material (371137800)


I listed an Adult Magazine called Private , which has been removed
by ebay twice -
yet they make out my listing displayed nude images
which is total rubbish as I specifically scanned and cropped the images
so that any nudity was cut ( top half of Model on front cover above breast areas ) - and wasn't able to be viewed


This is the exact image I used - what was wrong with this ?




and I have listed successfully before , adult Magazines , quite afew times on ebay - that had the same system - and I listed the magazine in the correct area - Men's - Pre-1980 section

the last time I had my user name plastered over breasts to cover the nudity - they didn't like that - yet others do it quite successfully

then have the gall to say it was an adult magazine - well surprise , surprise an adult glamour magazine in an Men's Catagory where loads of others are happily displayed for sale -

This was my Item listing pictures ( the top one was inside the text )

I phoned today ebay ' help ' centre - to find out why my listing was removed

- turns out it was the reference to " Sex at the seaside " ( see arrow )

you really can't win - I have appealed their decision ,
and gave the supervisor a peace of my mind about the illogical decisions that prevail
when i telephoned them - as far as I am concerned if you have any picture of a front cover
on ebay - it annoys them - better to have no picture

Adult material is not allowed on ebay.co.uk but mags published before 1978 are. So I don't know. Private is a well known hardcore company, so maybe that's why. Try ebid.org they have an adult section.

What really annoys me is the fact i get hammered and other
worse images get through , no questions asked
( I have a persecution complex starting to build Up )


The thing is that the Private Mag I sold was softcore ,
no question about it -

Ah well you live and learn - I will wait and see if my ' appeal ' gets me anywhere -
I have learnt that ebay can be a faceless bunch at the best of times


now where's that brick wall for my head ?

I wouldn't use ebay for selling this sort of stuff - eBis is definitely the way to go. Or maybe they do just hate you...

Then get more hammered until your memories become a total blur (Oh wait sorry just realised i misunderstood).

Good luck with the appeal anyway , i mean i`m sure they grab your fees quick enough so i bet they`ll get right on the case and solve the issue for you.

Take Sharkhunter's advice that's my advice , haven`t a clue what eBis is but odds are it must be better than eBay .

This is the reply I have rec'd today

My name is Greg and I'm happy to resolve your query about the removal of
your Private magazine listing (item no. 160408211843).

I understand that you did not intend to breach our policy and that the
images did not have any nudity on it but I've reviewed your account and
could confirm that the correct action was taken in your case. The reason
why we removed your listing is because cropped, blurbed or images of
only a part of the cover are not allowed to be put in listings.

If the magazine that you were selling was a pre-1980 magazine and the
cover has nudity on it then I would suggest that you do not put an image
in the listing.

We appreciate that people have different views on what is adult
material, however eBay?s policy is very comprehensive in this area.

I have taken the time and effort ( more fool me ) of telephoning
Ebay Help Centre -

I have tried to be more calm ( I lost my temper with the Female Supervisor the first time , I called , as her bureaucracy chat
was doing my head in, quoting chapter and verse about policies - and trying hard to make out she gives a damn about my issue ) - the First
Guy I spoke to was trying to make out he can't transfer me to Greg Geer
( for safety reasons ) -
am i, a Jedi that can harm over the phone ?

so i asked twice (trick I learnt on paypal sucks ) for a supervisor
and said the whole thing sucks , that it wasn't an appeal ,
that I am marked down for compliance where others get away with the stupid ebay rules -

and above all , how does it help me , to complain about other sellers ,
when it is not my job , but ebays -

I said that I felt I was being victimised
when others were not , and that I would never sell
again on ebay if that happened , and I got nowhere with all this .
I also said i would refuse to pay my ebay seller fees and they can send in the debt collectors if they want ---------- I felt better after that

anyway " they are going to look into it and make my views known to this Greg - I had them write all this down ( make a pain of yourself and you are surprised by what you can achieve )

now ...........to locate that brick wall and hammer my head
