Member name is underlined with red

Noticed that a member who thanked 1 of my posts has a red underline,below their name

Curious as to what that means

I heard through the grapevine,that if a member's name is underlined in red,it's not a good thing.

is it Dimwit ? or perhaps me? I noticed this myself a few times but particularly with a post Dimwit had made yesterday, he was last poster in an ID thread and the red line appeared to be just above his avatar.
That's when i noticed (like Myself) he had chosen to have no moniker,
I think this may be a forum quirk that sometimes on a page you go to , a red line appears to be under the member relevant to the reason why you came to that page.
I have noticed this myself either when they are the last poster on a thread, or if you click from User CP to a thanked post, sometimes the user that thanked you has a red line below their name.

I sure it is not a bad thing

and it doesn't seem to be something i can repeat just now

so i could be well wrong

Not to sure what it was,but I've narrowed it down to 3 possibilities:
1.Just some glitch here
2.A video card related glitch.
Or:
3.I'm completely losing my marbles and need to seek therapy.
Pretty sure it's the 3rd one.

jus' wondering...

if you hover over a Link (unless it is coloured, i.e. Mod, Vet, Vintage) the link does turn red, all members names are also links.

example:
On a previous post, hover over Mals name in the thanks box, and it does not underline red or change colour, it will all highlight red with other members though
exceptions seem to be , SuperMods, or Exstaff
hover over exfarmers name and it will appear underlined in red

I don't think this helps explain this happening to ms2449 with effys name, neither my previous post

Mals name does not red underline, but blondis' & ericcartmannns' does - but not every time aargh

This must depend on the individual set up. When I hover over any name, the underline changes to red so it's either a system thing, or you've all been really bad.

For me there are 2 possibilities:

a)

only the line under the name becomes red and this is for
administrators, super moderators, moderators, former staff, veteran member and vintage member

b)

as well the line under the name as the name becomes red and this for
senior member, member and junior member

It might simply be a browser issue too

(I'm using Chrome BTW)

It happens with Me too on Firefox, With Vints, Vets, Mods and Supermods the names are underlined,With Seniors,Members and Juniors it's the whole name goes red.

Active hyperlink color.

Same thing happen when you move your mous over a members name.
Then it also licht it red.
