About the only comparison I can think of is to another much reviled President, Herbert Hoover.

Like Carter, Hoover was a guy who'd actually had a job-- he was a mining engineer-- and he was also a great humanitarian. His Presidency wasn't successful, but he's definitely a guy who's better the more you get past his one term in office

Like Carter, his religious beliefs (he was a Quaker) had a big part in how he approached the world.

According to the majority of comments, Mr Barry Sotero, AKA Barack Hussein Obama wins as the worst president. Chief among the reasons is that he talked a good game but was largely ineffectual as a leader and was a convincing liar when needed to be. As in, "You can keep your doctor; My administration was scandal free; If you cross this red line there will be consequences."

But he gave rousing speeches comprised mainly of empty words and promises.

Without doubt, THIS asshole is by far the worst president in American history, no contest. He set the standard for stupidity, for lying, and for treasonous actions.

This is the most overrated president in history.

And these two were probably the most useless presidents of the 20th century.

Your question was very cleverly put, ellias. You're correct; his treasonous activities are all innuendo, at present. It's kind of like Trump's supporters yelling "Lock Her Up!" whenever Hillary Clinton's name is mentioned, even though there's never been one shred of proof of any criminal activity on her part.

Perhaps, instead of "treasonous actions," I should have said "sheer corruption."

The only fake news in the USA comes from Fox News and Sinclair Broadcasting. I'd trust the Weekly World News and National Enquirer more. Well now that National Enquirer has seen what blind support of Trump gets you - nothing.

The New York Times was founded in 1851 and, over the past 168 years, has won 125 Pulitzer Prizes (more than any other newspaper). It is widely considered to be one of the most respected, and prestigious newspapers in the world. Whereas FOX News is widely considered to be nothing but a propaganda arm of the republican party, and the people who swear by it, are most likely fools.

BTW; What are the provable instances of corruption to which you refer?

I do not like this guy, but until now, his hands seem to be less covered of blood than a lot of his predecessors. Isn't it?

He has devastated countries, hundred thousand of lifes, because of oil greed.

Truman seems to have been a real monster too.
