Default Faith? What is good about faith?

You are creating a false dichotomy here: not believing in religious claims isn't the same as 'not believing in anything'. It's not believing in one thing: a god. Faith is believing something without any reason. Trust is believing with some reason which may be good or bad & therefore the trust is valid or invalid depending on the magnitude of the claim made & the strength of supporting evidence for it.

The problem with religions (all religions) is they have precisely the same amount of independently verifiable evidence: i.e. none (regardless of what anyone says to the contrary). Therefore faith is merely an excuse for accepting an extraordinary claim on zero evidence. This is not an insignificant short coming of all religious beliefs.

Because you can't!

Why?

Because you just can't!

You can criticise politicians, Mac vs. PC, anything really... but apparently not religion. WHY NOT?
