Ingrid Pitt. 3.
Countess Dracula, Peter Sasdy (1971). Unfortunatly last film of Ingrid Pitt for the Hammer. Pictorial from the great book "The Hammer Vault" (here the French edition) : Booklet from an English dvd, with extracts from "Murder, Torture and Depravity", book by Ingrid Pitt :

Ingrid Pitt. 4.
"I had Countess Dracula on the blotter and it looked a nice unrestrained part. It didn’t turn out that way. The censors had, more or less, agreed that anything goes as far as bodily exploitation was concerned but were playing off the back foot on violence. Slitting sundry throats and showering in cascading blood was not look on kindly so the gore scenes in Countess Dracula were pretty pitiful and the sexual scenes so anodyne they could have been cut into Mary Poppins and survived without comment". Ingrid Pitt.

Jenny Hanley.
Scars Of Dracula, James Ward Baker (1970). A classic, at the transition of Hammer's history, as charismatic boss Michael Carreras was about to leave the group. Jenny Hanley is best known for her role as Bond Girl ("On Her Majesty's Secret Service") or as vintage British TV icon. Only one appearance for Hammer and her voice is dubbed : "she was considered too low and grown-up for the sweet young thing she played". But she's adorable and very decent (maybe too much !). Her thread. Publicity pics : Stills (funny, the main question of the movie is "Is the thing between her breasts or not ?"... Well, the crucifix I mean...) : Misc :

Pippa Steel.
The Vampire Lovers, Roy Ward Baker (1970). Lust For A Vampire, Jimmy Sangster (1971). German born Pippa Steele, real pretty baby face, had two tragic endings in front of Ingrid Pitt first and then Yutta Stensgaard in her 2 Hammer films. Always seduced or seducing, always victim. Unfortunatly she had a tragic life too, passed out at 42 old, from cancer.

Jacqueline Pearce.
The Reptile, John Gilling (1966). Jacqueline Pearce is certainly not the most spectacular Hammer beauty, but her role in this movie is one of the most moving I've recently seen. And the movie itself is a pure gem, with a very distinctive atmosphere. It seems she's better known as "Servalan" from the British cult TV sci-fi series "Blakes 7". In 2012 she was diagnosed with breast cancer... for the 2nd time (1st time in 2004). But she survived again and is actually living in South-Africa, in the bush. Stunning person. Her thread. Lobby cards here. Scans from "The Hammer Vault" : Stills : A bit nudity from "White Mischief" (Michael Radford, 1988). Varia :

Jacqueline Pearce. 2.
The Plague Of The Zombies, John Gilling (1966). Filmed just before "The Reptile", same location, approximatively same cast, same scenario, suspense and special atmospher, The Plague is haunted too by Jacqueline Pearce. A real presence, even if she doesn't get the main role. Scans from "The Hammer Vault" :
