I think the point being made by bourschwa above is that there is no evidence of any mag. ever calling that model Francesca Beauchamps. The only mag. calling her Francesca Beauchamp was Mayfair, & they did so without a trailing S as can be seen in the scans. The scans from Lui show that mag. called her just Francesca, with no professional "surname". So the trailing S would seem to be a typo., an accidental mistake but which vef mods. are now seemingly trying to "institutionalise" by preserving it as an "aka" in the first post of her thread. This seems based not upon evidence but instead supposition: supposition or presumption that the first member who typed her name with a trailing S might (must?) instead have been right rather than simply making a typo. as we all can do.

If you can find any evidence of a mag. using that spelling for her then fine, but in the 9 years since that thread was begun on vef none such has yet appeared. Other vef members who have visited that thread either have not noticed the false trailing S or else they haven't cared to point it out. That is not evidence of it's "correctness".

Edit: whether it suits everyone or not, and whether it was published in a magazine or not, she obviously is also known by the alternative name right here on VEF, and for quite a long time. That means that if the aka is missing from her main thread, some Members looking for her won't find her. That's why she has the "aka" - it's there for search purposes
