There was a big push at the time of 2008 Elections by those who wanted Obama, once he got into power, to impeach/charge Bush - mainly over Guantanamo and torture. Nothing happened.

Just before the election, Dick Cheney, of all people, came out and endorsed John McCain. Quite the kiss of death. He also got saddled with the Palin albatross...

Just before the 2012 elections, a few Repubs came out and made some colossally stupid statements - about abortion, immigration, the 47%....etc.

Now - most politicians are lawyers, which means they have SOME degree of intelligence. They also have handlers, people around them to guide them in what not to say. Lawyers learn early on to keep their mouths shut.


What Bush and his cronies did when they were in power was...criminal? They pilfered the country and generally messed it up for AT LEAST a generation.

Nixon was pushed out over Watergate. Clinton was put through the ringer over a blowjob and cigar dildoing Monica.

5 years on...and nothing.

So I'll give you a Tom Clancyesque conspiracy;


In return for letting the Bush/Cheney group get off scott free for their misdeeds while running the store, the Republicans will make sure that the Dems hold the White house for at least two full presidencies (8 years of Obama and 8 years of Hilary).

Right before he said, "Consp..." he used the word "Another". So, what other "consp..." could be possibly be referring to? Was he also almost admitting that 9/11 was a "consp.." too?

Also, the Boston bombing, whichever way you look at it, was a "conspiracy' even if it was just the two (unlikely) brothers, seeing as a conspiracy is a plot between two or more people, the question also is why Bush felt he could not use the C-word, when he could easily have gone on to mention the two brothers. I find that interesting, as well as the fact that the most powerful man (puppet) in the world for 8 years can barely string a complete sentence together.

As you've just said, by strict definition, both Boston and 9/11 are conspiracies. Perhaps Bush was simply worried that if he uttered such a loaded word, people would seize on it - as indeed they have.

You ask if he was almost admitting that 9/11 was a conspiracy too, but he clearly says that Boston isn't one. So from this context, I think he's using the word 'conspiracy' not in the strict sense, but to mean that whereas 9/11 was a series of co-ordinated attacks on multiple targets, Boston turned out not to be - once it was realised that the fire at the John F Kennedy Library was unconnected to it.

As for your other point, that one's always puzzled me too.
