Default RE: Color-Climax Cavalcade etc

And from some of these versions Color-Climax Cavalcade is missing.
As far as I can surmise, these are the very original copies, although I'm sure there were some variations in aspects of the mag such as ads for those that were printed more than once during the period. Many of the great B&W pics are from later Soho postcards, roughly 1965-1968, but CC also used early vintage photos and drawings. Starting at 84, Color Climax Album [kindly posted by Al Gebra] or maybe #83 had a story with each pic as if from a reader who was often supposedly the photographer. Not true of course.

I had a couple of hundred of those photos and recognize many of those used in CC and their other mags of the period, either from ones I had or remember risking my life browsing through. A favourite is the blond who is still seen around and appears in the lower picture CC 64 pg 2 and CC 82 pg 2. The brunette is often with her. An all time gem is the exotic beauty in CC 74 pg 2 and I had a set of 5 of her. [sob]. Please excuse the lack of links but info in the directory.

In another post someone suggested that there were different versions for different countries but I tend to doubt that. Certainly, every one that I ever saw in London had the pics and also the stories when they started. They didn't appear in New York until the early to mid 80s [guessing from memory which is hazy on this] but booted CC loops were around earlier and in the viewing booths.

I have been meaning to check which of those posted here are complete because some of the photos are otherwise exceedingly rare. Would it be an idea to indicate in the index which are complete? That way anybody who had an earlier copy would be able to know at a glance if it was needed by looking here:
http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/t73...ink-index.html

Sometimes less attention seems to be paid to the B&W pics but they were always a highlight for me, probably because that's where I started. I've noticed that more have been posted in recent years and I'm most grateful to the posters.

I read in a newspaper in the mid-60s that the "Soho girls" were told that the pics were for publication abroad and nobody they knew would see them. Then they showed up immediately in Soho & Paddington in 5 card packets, always containing 5 from the same set for a quid. Then colour started in around late 1968 at two pounds a packet.

CC and mags started to appear by 1969 and the English sets disappeared almost overnight as did the old UK movies. You could buy a whole mag at 5 pounds and return it for half the price in credit. All the forbidden ones showed up there in the early 70s too. Just saying for the record and hope some enjoy these remenisinces.

Thanks for an interesting post.

Since we know Theanders started their second hand shop around 1966 and had stuff "under the counter" it is not unlikely they somehow imported some of these picture-sets and sold them as well.
I guess they made sure they didn't step on anyones toes/got printing rights when they started to use them as PhotoAlbum pics. Maybe origin and owners where impossible to track down (or to claim ownership on the other side as well).

Both Private and Rodox sold separate slides through their catalogues in the beginning, so the single-pic selling was being held alive for a while.

There is already an index dedicated to Color Climax magazines here (with a reference here).

Then there are two different threads for Color Climax magazine scans:
complete, full page scans
not complete

Hi All,I hope I`ve picked the right page to pose my question...Do anyone know how many of the ceecee films were dubbed in English ? I can only find 5 listed on the net,and would like to find more,as I find them amusing given the posh English accents they are usually dubbed with....I have the Thanks button at the ready....

Most of the online versions seem to be German but I recall seeing umpteen loops back in the days of VHS that were dubbed in English. When the bearded dude in "Fuck My Uncle/Teacher" said "How about some sexy tongue play?" I remember thinking no-one would ever say something like that in real life!

Interesting question; as Jerquer says, there's probably quite a few CCs in English versions, so you could find some more; the only one I've seen (about 30 years ago, one of the first porns I ever saw) was Arsehole Addict. I don't know about the English accents being posh though, I still seem to remember the man's voice when he tells the 3 girls to stick their bottoms up, and saying something like "You can keep the cunts, I love shagging arseholes!" and I don't think he had that posh an accent; mind you it's hard to sound posh speaking lines like that

Hi Jerquer and Spiderboy, thanks again for the replies, and I have used the Thanks button as well....I expect I`m probably not looking hard enough for the dubbed versions and will have to dig a bit deeper.....As mentioned it is undoubtedly difficult to sound too posh when the lines are generally so ridiculous, but then that (for me at least) is what makes them funny.
cheers Steve
Incidentally,is there a particular place on this site where I can upload a very short - less than a minute - home made video (made about 7 yrs ago) ?

Me again,re the above subject,I`ve found a site (Adult Loop Database) that lists most of the content i`m interested in,and also lists which films were dubbed in English, and it seems i`ve got a long way to go before a collection is even half complete....Finding most of them will take the rest of my life,if not longer.....still,it`ll keep me off the streets....

Hallo Steve, As far as I'm aware, you can't upload clips direct to this site, you have to use a storage site and post the link here. (I'd recommend using either Filefactory or 1fichier). It's good you found that database site; I believe the English dubbed versions were preferred for the Scandinavian market, as well as USA, while the German versions went elsewhere. I've no idea if they made French or Italian versions for those markets.

Elsewhere? What do you think why the overwhelming majority of films and videos were dubbed in German language only?

According to catalogues there are a few French dubbed versions.
