God it looks as though this warm weather could last to October-I don't want an Indian Summer, a British one this year was bad enough! Too hot, I don't mind low to mid 20's but 30-32 is pushing it a bit too much.

If you don't want it then send it over to me here in Chicago, Illinois USA where for the second time in the last ten years I'm getting a rather cool summer, even though the last two days were both 35 degrees Celsius(but we've only had nine of those days when normally Chicago gets 16 days of hot, sweaty temperatures)

I can't remember the last time we had a cool, autumnal September though - it feels like the last 10+ years September is now a part of summer. I remember as a kid the cooler weather, the leaf changes, the earlier nights when we went back to school - now, it's just more of the bloody same that we've had for the last 3 months

I fuckin' hate summer!

It is set to go down shortly so some more respite and even badly-needed rain. Send us your wind hardly a breath today. Noticed an ice-cream van came down our road-nothing strange about that except it wasn't our usual one the machine playing the jaunty jingle sounded as if it was running out of steam - it was a lame tune anyway. I remember once some joker in an ice cream van came here playing jingle bells...in MARCH! The other van that comes down our road is now manned(sorry womaned) by a woman-never seen that before. 99 anyone?

I live in the San Francisco area. Summers here used to be temperate with fog keeping the area cooler. No more. We used to only rarely reach the 80s F (~26-29 C). We are routinely reaching 90F/32C and sometimes 100F/38C now because the fog has gone away. What is San Francisco without fog? Don't try to tell me the climate isn't changing!
