It is interesting to note just how many beauty queens made it into Bond films, it used to be THE place to find your Bond babe, then later they chose Page 3 girls for Bond, and later established models. Not seen many pics of Denise before so thanks for these Mr Bond.

Seems like it was giving people what they wanted shortly after You Only Live Twice but I can't get hold of the film and haven't seen any pics anywhere. Does anyone know anything about it or, better still, have any pictures? I'd be extremely grateful
I saw the film many years ago and she had a few love scenes in the movie plus one in which she emerges naked from the sea. She looked great in this movie and it's a shame that the film is not available on the Net.

Thanks for confirming that Mie was nude and looked amazing! I'll keep looking to see if either the film or any pics turn up - I'll try and scan anything I can onto this forum. There's a website called YesAsia.com that has some of Mie's old films in Japanese that have been recently released on DVD. If ever 'Suna no Kaori' comes out I'll be there in a flash.

Mr Bond: In 1979 I was a kid so MOONRAKER seemed futuristic to me especially with the Space Shuttles launches-however I think it was an attempt to be a bit more of a science-fiction based story - having never read the original story I can only guess the writers took their cues from the very first Space Shuttle launch which was due later in the year it was released. All Bond is far-fetched, but it was logical to go into space having been underwater in "The Spy Who Loved Me," but then meglomaniacs try to take over the world in any shape or form. I happen to think that 'MOONRAKER' was one of the best, for girls if nothing else although only being 13 I was more taken with the car that turned into a submarine

And speaking of Moonraker, that is being shown next week on ITV1 here if anyone is interested.

if your into downloading movies using torrents; a certain well known site, (think of the sort of vessel that jack sparrow might need), has all of the bond movies in one file. though you can just choose to d/l which ones you want in your 'torrent' options. full d/l is 10gigs, but each movie around 400mb or so.

just info for you all..... PhEg.

The Spy Who Loved Me.... 1977 ....
was shown on UK TV last weekend, Barbara Bach was perfection
as James Bond s other half, and Rodge really looked the part of Bond,
looking back now he begins to be maybe the greatest of them all !

Lois Maxwell once said that she would always want Roger Moore on her side but in a fight would find Sean Connery more reliable-Moore didn't look much of a bruiser whereas the later Bonds could do ladies man and fighter with a lot more ease. I half expected Roger to fight off the villains whilst sipping his usual Vodka Martini(shaken not stirred) whereas Connery, Dalton, Brosnan & Craig would probably down their pints fast and then get brawling. I agree Barbara Bach was one of the most beautiful Bond girls ever, especially in that split thigh dress she wore-as a kid of just 11 even I sat up and took notice Don't forget 'Moonraker' this Saturday which has one of the best collections of beautiful women in any Bond.

On another forum I read that Rodger said... if a fight breaks out in
a bar and chairs were flying , Id be down under the table,
I never stand up at the bar anyway .. I sit down when I have a drink..
.....or something like that... the debate was about Olly Reed who often got into fights standing at the bar
In real life, compared to Olly, Rodger looked a bit of a wimp.

But on screen, in The Spy Who Loved Me Rodger looks very fit, handsome, sauve... great voice, he was a brilliant Bond and I think
probably now the favorite Bond of most people.
