The real Penelope Smallbone aka Perri Small was a dancer in one of the Bond opening title sequences in silhouette-which one I am not sure-possibly FYEO or TSWLMe.

Thanks for the Video Greenman, I had a nice time

Unfortunately I'm not a James Bond fan at all, they are much too violent for me even though I like Sean Connery and watched a lot of his films I just can't stand those. As for Roger Moore I don't like him at all. Pierce Brosnan and Timothy Dalton are very handsome but my all time favourite is Daniel Craig, HE made me go, see and appreciate my first Bond. Ah those exquisite British guys

There are several rumours going around that Olga could return in the third Bond film but it will be different from the avenge/revenge double openers just made. I saw Quantum of Solace last week and I can highly recommend it and if you liked the Bourne Trilogy (Identity, Supremacy, Ultimatum) then you will like this. I also think the next Bond will return to the usual elements including gadgets, girls and hopefully a Q or R although Dame Judi Dench is a doubt at the moment for M!!

I post these so you can make up your own mind, but lets face it, she is no hermaphrodite.
She was born with XXY chromosomes. Not XY like a man or XX like a woman. Makes most people slightly effeminate with smaller genitalia.

Two quick comments:

1) A HUGE thank you to the contributors. In my many many years online this is the first time I've seen many of the images shown particularly in the quality!

2) For true Bond aficionados.. does anyone have any details as to the names behind the lithe silhouettes in the opening credits?

The silhouette girls were never credited but some of the more well known ones are Joni Flynn, Anna Noble, Penelope Smallbone(aka Perry Small)-they used her name for the character that took over as the new Moneypenny for A View to a Kill and it is purported that one was Corinne Russell (although I have not seen any proof of this) and another could be Sian Adey-Jones. There used to be a strong link between Page 3 girls and Bond, but that ended with 'Octopussy.'

Here it is a year later and I just found this post and wanted to reply to it. I read the Bond books beginning in the 60s and into the 70s. My favorite Bond film is still Dr. No, because it really shows the nature of James Bond. My take on Bond has always been that he is a thug, with a veneer of sophistication that makes him appear to be suave. Underneath that veneer, he is a killer. The movies became jokes with the one-liners and ridiculous gadgets. Sean Connery had the rough edge to be the best Bond. Roger Moore was too prissy to be believable as either Bond or Simon Templar, the Saint. (I've also read many of the original Saint books from the 30s and 40s. The Saint was also an occasional cold-blooded killer when he felt someone deserved it.)

I never read any of the novels but I do remember reading an article about Fleming's version of Bond-he wanted actor Edward Purdom to be Bond btw-and he described Bond as a ruthless killer and womaniser and didn't really approve of Sean Connery but then if you were in a fight you'd want him on your side. Roger was good in a way, made a little less violent although sometimes it was a little too jokey(see Octopussy and his 'Barbara Woodhouse "SIT!" to a tiger and the TARZAN yell as he swings from a vine-2 truly cringeworthy scenes).

Like The Saint, Bond was a killer but he did care about things including saving the world and his friends-see Dr No where he is genuinely upset about the savage death of Quarrel at the hands of the flame-throwing 'dragon'(tank). I remember seeing my first film which was "Live and Let Die" around 1974-5(in those days films would hang around a lot longer in cinemas and sometimes be re-released) and I didn't like the voodoo motif throughout the film. The next one I saw was "The Spy Who Loved Me" about 1978 or so and I was in love with Barbara Bach(at 12) she was so gorgeous and made one of the best Bond girls around.

Since then I have seen every Bond film, except 2007 Casino Royale because no one wanted to go with me to see it but it was a return to the real Bond beginnings, no gadgets or babes just a good story of how he became a 00 agent. I do feel however that the next one should have the return of R(took over from Q) and the gadgets.

My calling Bond a killer was not meant as a slight in any way. It's what you're willing to kill for that matters. In the words of Winston Churchill, "We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm."

Anyone ever had a fantasy about one of the Bond girls and another person? I'll give a little bit for right now and see if there are any other interest.
For example, in the movie 'Diamonds Are Forever' there is the scene at the casino where Plenty O'Toole goes up stairs with Sean Connery, and they start making out. They separate and in the movie she ends up out the window into the pool. Okay, so here is where fantasy took over...
In the bedroom was Jill St. John laying on the bed waiting for Sean. What if Sean wasn't the one who entered the bedroom?
It got very... kinky after that.
Anyone else have anything like that?
Just wondering.
