That last is true, but the people didn't vote him in either time he ran. A so-called 'College' of a few hundred 'Electors' (with no consistent qualifications or merits) imposed him on the hundreds of millions of their fellow citizens. But that was only the once; through the next four years, we saw how unqualified was that partisan choice by a privileged few.

As many would tell you to this day: The USA is a Republic, not a democracy, and they are correct. It's only a coincidence that the recent election's democratic vote aligned with the the College's.

As for your first premise; given that this time round neither he nor his supporters accept either vote, not that of the people nor that of the Republic's elite [sic] it's entirely reasonable to consider that neither he nor they are worthy of mention in any reasonable political discussion by thoughtful people.

Of course discussions of security to avoid repeats of Jan6 would be a different matter, but I'd have to agree spells to ward off the Evil One would be a bit much.

President Trump's outspoken manner does not endear him to many.
The deadliest enemy of sweet lies is blunt truth. That Trump has; he's been proven correct in many things.

In general I think he represents truth and personal liberty, which the Left wants obliterated forever.

I think if not for Trump, the Western world would be much further along in the totalitarian world superstate path the Left apparently has planned for us all, and yes, boy o boy, do they hate him for that.

People are afraid of Donald Trump because he knows his opponents and can take you in a speech or standing argument. How anyone prefers Biden over Trump is pure blind. And do it to themselves and want to be saved which just puzzles me.

The Left along with many Republicans hate Trump because he is a total political outsider. He has nothing invested in the policies the Two-Party Establishment has been pursuing for the last 60 years. Further, they have no way to push or force him to do the Two-Party Establishment's bidding. He is rich, with a Fuck You amount of money, so they cannot realistically bribe him. Because he is an outsider he has given over no IOUs to senior members of the Two Party Establishment.

All of that means Trump is a loose cannon that the Establishment has no way to pressure, let alone control. Not having any measure of control on the President scares them to death.

Erhh..No! Trump is a real and present danger to democracy itself. His constant lying about 2020, which he knows he lost, is fanning the flames of Civil War; his fawning over autocrats and dictators and his continuing attempts to divide not just the country but also the Republican party.

Anyone who is in favour of the democratic system of government, not just the extreme left, should fear Trump or any other Republican Trump wannabee. And to those Trump fanboys on this thread; what will you do when you disagree with the glorious leader? There will be no rule of law or recourse to justice because if anything is more corrupt than democracy, then it is non-democracy.

Just not about his claim that the only election he ever 'won' was rigged, in spite of having four years to prove the rigging, or that his 'win' was fair and square. Not to mention four years of him doing nothing at all to ensure the next election wouldn't be 'rigged' the same way.

Which he now claims it was.

Four years later, exactly the same self-serving lies, with nary a whisper of truth to them, nor a shred of evidence presented in all the courtrooms, committee rooms cabinet offices and electoral commissions his argued in.

Exactly the tactic of third world dictators from Burma, to Belorus and Brazil: If they can't win, they'll call it fixed and send in their goons.
