Neck Scarves

Hello All

Why do all women seem to wear neck scarves in old US movies? or was it just fashionable back then

Thanks to anyone who can shed any light on this

I'm not sure, but neck scarves seemed to be a "signature" of the Swedish Erotica movies, along w/my favorite hosiery, rht stockings. I don't recall neck scarves really being being fashionable back in the '60's thru '80's but then again I was probably focusing on women's legs. :-)

Yes, the neck scarf thang and stockings (much appreciation for that!)) was just a motif of Swedish Erotica - just like Playboy Bunnies' ears. Would much rather bang a woman or fantasize about banging a woman with stockings and neck attire than a pair of bunny ears.

When I think about neck scarfs, Seka is the first to spring to my mind.

Bunny ears are just... strange.

I read an article long ago that explained the neck scarves were used to do color checks by the photographer. Do not know the technical details of how they did that.

Neck scarves were popular in the 70s. I remember a lot of girls wearing them. One theory was that it was to cover the hickeys from some necking session.
