Aliens are with some certainty peaceful minded. Actually, they have no other choice.

Even Mr. S is of the opinion : Anything else would be illogical.

Nobody1 says : Go ahead Mr. S.

If you are assume that they are technologically far, far superior to our modest possibilities, then the simple fact that they're still alive is proof enough for a peaceful development of civilization. 'Modern' Humanity sees itself at the moment more in the role of Heinlein`s gay little nazi 'Starship Troopers', where it's more than doubtful whether they will reach the post-petroleum or nuclear era alive, let alone greet other planets in distant galaxies with a decent

SIEG HEIL.

Sgt. R is of the Opinion : Only in war, we are united

But Nobody1 says : Omg, what a huge fascist fag.

And it's a sure proof that no contact has taken place so far. Would you seek to contact someone about whom you know that (at the earliest opportunity) he burns down your house and kill your people to get access to your natural resources? For them, the most powerful and brightest representatives of our species are just pigs and monkeys with a endless source of supreme pig and/or monkey stupidity. Perhaps they have something similar to pity.

Mr. G is of the opinion : Stupid is as stupid does.

Nobody1 says : You're right. But now run Forrest run.

The question here is : What sense makes it to talk with stupid pigs and monkeys? (no insult of animals )

The American bomber and fighter pilots who saw the Foo Fighters (mainly around the Peenemunde missile research base) were all crapping themselves because they assumed they were advanced German fighters.
The German forces were crapping themselves because they assumed the FFs were American.

I got no idea, just starting chit chat I guess
Aliens are an interesting concept. Outside of cultural metaphors in moving media, pictures/images, and text, I am not sure where aliens in the literal sense would fit in. You ask us a few questions:

"Do they exist?" No.
"If they do, will they invade us?" No.
"Is there a VEF on another planet?" I am assuming no. To the best of my knowledge, a human agency has not successfully colonized another planet. That does not mean, however, colonization by an human agency has not been successful. It simply means successful colonization is beyond my knowledge, and if I were aware such an event, it would not advance societal and cultural problems faced here on earth.

Edit: I am not suggesting my being personally aware of a successful planetary colonization by humans would make a difference. Being as I am a member of a certain culture and larger society as a whole, my awareness of successful planetary colonization would almost certainly be common knowledge in print, moving media, and pictures.

Your question about VEF on another planet raises an interesting point: would human beings, possessing of knowledge, skill, and wherewithal to advance themselves from earth to another location in the universe transplant social and cultural mores present on earth?

In addition to successful colonization of other planets besides earth, how would this information be disseminated? Hypothetically speaking, if it did occur, there would be certain definite points at which knowledge of successful colonization would be a known and unknown event. Curiously, why would the information be released at all? Undoubtedly technology used for successful colonization would earn a great deal of money along with constellation of tertiary concerns including licensing, patents, rights, public fame, etc.

Does E.T. exist? Of course she does. Emma Thompson plays Professor Trelawney in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2012). She's one of the most attractive 50+ women around today.

What, you meant that other E.T.? The one who lives billions of miles away and has no means or reason to come here. Except to kick our asses for beaming I Love Lucy reruns his way for 50 years. Yeah they exist but unless they possess a means of travel we can't envision, it'll be a long time before we hear from them.

The main problem we have with establishing communication with extraterrestrials is that we've already said "Hello!"
Any super-advanced starship heading towards Earth would be assaulted by all the radio-wave crap we've been beaming into space for almost a century now.
If they don't understand the point of televisual entertainment then imagine what they're going to think when they start to pick up the original broadcasts of Star Trek.
Jim Kirk: "We come in peace. Set phasers to maximum!"
Or, assuming they get a bit closer..
They start to see episodes of "The World at War"
Any intelligent life-form would slam on the brakes, slip it in reverse, and get their spaceship as far away as possible, as quickly as possible.

Its not just transmissions, its language, emotion whos to say we can even understand their language or visa versa!

Look at all the species on out world, all the different methods of communicating: clicks, barks, chirps need i go on?
Can we understand any of them? No, so who is to say any alien civilization has a language even remotely close to our verbal methods.
They could communicate using naturally occurring radio waves or sounds too far up the frequency spectrum for us to hear. They could use skin pigmentation changes like a chameleon to talk with, or even be psychic!
They could communicate using pheromones or smell! An innocuous fart could kick off an interstellar war!

Their sense of emotion could be totally different to ours. We have anger, fear, love, happiness etc. Their emotions could be totally different to our own.

We don't even know if they are even humanoid, they could be like in Starship Troopers: intelligent bugs. In fact the chances of us finding a humanoid alien race is even more remote of finding another race in the first place!

I don't think it's possible, I think it's probable. We live in our solar system, on a planet that has water, and is just the right distance from the sun to support life. Our solar system is in the Milky Way galaxy, a galaxy that is but one of 170 billion observable galaxies in the universe. So how can we be so presumptuous (or stupid) to believe we're the only life forms on the block? How many billions of other solar systems have a planet with the same life-supporting conditions as we have?

The odds are stupendous. There simply has to be many other beings out there. Like I said, it's not possible, it's probable. We just haven't found them yet. And they haven't found us yet.

Maybe.
