Johnny Depp
Is he becoming a parody of himself with all these throw away roles he's taking on? Would be nice if he told Burton his mancrush was creepy and started doing something different, something serious. I used to consider him as one of my favorite actors based on entertainment value but now I cringe when I see the roles he's in. Looks like a total joke in the Dark Shadows remake and he's playing Tonto in some Lone Ranger remake. Maybe he's stoned 24/7 and doesn't care anymore.

He's suffering from midlife-crisis and the "crush boy" image.

True. He'll be 50 next year (eek!), and it's quite obvious he's been dyeing his hair for quite a while now.
Isn't it funny how these teen idols all talk about how much they hate it - yet when it starts to fade, they'll do anything to keep it going? Last edited by doyle; March 31st, 2012 at 07:54 PM.. Reason: misspelling |

I liked him in Edward Scissorhands, but not in any of his other movies.

I liked him in Sleepy Hollow and The Ninth Gate. I haven't seen any of his later or more recent stuff to comment on.
