That would be a great shame for the sport.

I have a lot of time for the French, I work with them and even speak the language, the World is different when people feel free to talk rubbish with you!

This has not been a great Tour, but it has certainly had magical moments, and yes Frome deserves to win his crown, I live in hope that the powers that be in this country will recognise him and give him his Knighthood. Wiggins won once, OK the first time, but Frome could easily have won that Tour too.

I will reserve comment on the third place, just to say if the rules had been applied through out the race fairly and correctly, then Sky would have had a double podium again!

We do love great champions. Froome is a great one.
But as Virenque, we wonder.
I don't excuse all that happened , but it did.
And not by vip people, real life people, you know, the poor ones, you, me,etc..

Congratulations to Chris Froome.
Winning a stage would have been nice but the Tour is a marathon, not a sprint, and over the past three weeks he's been the most consistent rider.
His gentlemanly behaviour, always remembering to thank his teammates and ignore the twattish behaviour of some of the "fans" does make folk tend to overlook the quality that David Brailsford talked about in a recent interview.
Underneath the quiet polite exterior, Chris is pure steel.
His rivals have definitely closed the gap and the next TDF can't come soon enough.
Thanks again to Messrs Imlach, Boardman, Millar, Boulting, and everyone else from ITV4 for their excellent commentary.

Three weeks starting from Aug 19 to look forward to
Not being a multimillionaire, I'm hoping that ITV4 will have extensive coverage.

The Vuelta has been a much better race for GC than the Tour over the last few years. Just highlights on ITV4, live on Eurosport. Far more summit finishes than the Tour again this year but not sprinter friendly at all.
Not so many long boring flat stages on the Vuelta, but who wants to see cycling on empty dual carriageways through desert scrubland anyway?

Just highlights on ITV4, live on Eurosport.
Live streaming links can of all major races can be found on Steephill.TV or often even via Youtube though they some get pulled off so requires a bit of persistence. Hopefully they'll be more posts about the Vuelta here this year. The TDF is overhyped IMO.

Far too many summit finishes in the Vuelta this year IMO. 9 is just silly. Makes the race too one dimensional.

Excellent live streams available for most top level races at tiz-cycling.racing/stream/ Clasica San Sebastian, Tour of Poland and Ride London Classique (women's race) streamed there today.
