Default Generation Game to be brought back with Mel and Sue

Former Great British Bake Off hosts Mel and Sue are to host the return of BBC classic show The Generation Game.

It has been commissioned for an initial four-episode run, although a launch date has yet to be set.

BBC Studios said audiences had identified the Generation Game as "the TV show that viewers most wanted to see back on their screens".

The show sees pairs of family members across generations take part in performance and task-based games, with the ultimate goal of facing the Conveyor Belt.

The Generation Game began on BBC One in 1971, with Sir Bruce Forsyth as its longest-serving host. The entertainer fronted the show for two spells from 1971 to 1977 and 1990 to 1994.

The Generation Game was presented by Larry Grayson between 1978 and 1982 and Jim Davidson from 1995 to 2002.

There have also been two one-off editions of the show. Graham Norton presented a Christmas edition in 2005, while Vernon Kay took charge of a version for Comic Relief in 2011.

Some other news points released at comic con...
- The Flash movie will be a adaption of sorts of Flashpoint, Jeffery Dean Morgan & Lauren Cohen have both already teased returning as the Batman & Joker of that universe for which that alone I am interested in.
- Michelle Pfeiffer is Janet Van Dyne Pym in the Ant Man sequel.
- Laurence Fishburne is Goliath.
- Walton Goggins is the villain of it. (extremely sad he won't likely be playing Bullseye now)
- Clancy Brown is voicing Surtur.
- Captain Marvel will be set in the 90s for some reason*The Skrulls will be the villains, Nick Fury will be the main supporting character.

I can remember when this use to be on back in the 90's, first with Bruce Forsyth and then with Jim Davidson (who some people found a bit irritating and over-bearing at times).

According to the today's paper there's quite a lot of positively about this because the two of them work so well together as a team.

Domino in Marvel comics...

Zazie Beetz as Domino in Deadpool 2...

Dom is among my top favorite female comic characters.
- Strongly appreciate them not holding back on the cleavage.
- Fine with the race change.
- Ok with the reversal of her typical iconic colors but she really should have gotten a tan/darker actress/put her in white leather if they wanted the contrast to be as striking as in the comic.
- The Afro isn't ideal but it looks slightly better then I feared going off previously released concept art.
- Deal-breaker-ish - She appears to have underarm hair which I'm not repulsed by in and of itself but it's just really not visually pleasing to see on screen.

Has anyone watched Blood Drive on SyFy yet....I have watched it every week and thoroughly enjoy it. Made in Grindhouse style, with no limit on language and violence that I see.

Some good slasher news to make up for the F13 cancelation.

Hatchet 4 has been secretly filmed & is ready for release.

Dark Sky Films*has just announced that*Victor Crowley, the surprise fourth film in the fan-favorite*Hatchet*franchise is actually done. In fact it screened last night! Kept tightly under wraps for over two years, the slasher reboot unexpectedly debuted last night at*Hollywood’s ArcLight Cinema, shocking fans, celebrities, and industry professionals who gathered this evening to celebrate at an event coined as a “Hatchet*10th*Anniversary Celebration.

Set a decade after the events of the series’ first three films,*Victor Crowley*reunites*Hatchet*mainstays*Kane Hodder*(Friday the 13th*7*–X‘s Jason Voorhees) and*Parry Shen*(Better Luck*Tomorrow) for an all-new, horrifying journey into the haunted, blood-drenched bayou.

In 2007, forty-nine people were brutally torn to pieces in Louisiana’s Honey Island Swamp.*Over the past decade, lone survivor Andrew Yong’s claims that local legend Victor Crowley was responsible for the horrific massacre have been met with great controversy, but when a twist of fate puts him back at the scene of the tragedy, Crowley is mistakenly resurrected and Yong must face the bloodthirsty ghost from his past.

Victor Crowley’s*ensemble cast also features*Laura Ortiz*(2006’s*The Hills Have Eyes),*Dave Sheridan*(Scary Movie), and*Brian Quinn*(truTV’s “Impractical Jokers”). Writer/director*Adam Green*proudly returns to the director’s chair of his series that, upon debuting in 2007, was energetically touted as a return to “old school American horror,” and whose maniacal fan-favorite villain quickly secured a place among slasher royalty.

Says Green, “I couldn’t be happier to partner with Dark Sky Films and bring Victor Crowley back to horror fans around the world. Resurrecting the series for its tenth anniversary was our way of saying thank you to everyone in The Hatchet Army and beyond who have supported this series since its inception. This bloodbath is for all of you.”

Victor Crowley*will hit select U.S. theaters in*October 2017*as part of Dark Sky Films’*“Victor Crowley Road Show”, wherein writer/director Adam Green (and other cast) will travel with and introduce the film at special one-night screening events across America. Internationally, the film is slated to bow at festivals worldwide – it will receive its international premiere this*Saturday, August 26th*at FrightFest in London, England. Adam Green and Kane Hodder will be in attendance for the gala screening.

I like Len Goodman, but his new game show on Saturday night BBC TV is truly terrible stuff, aimed at pre-teens and (for me) it's unwatchable. A revived Generation Game sounds far better and I hope this takes its place without too much delay.

Given his East-End routes they should call it Gor Blimey, it's a Limey!
