On the subject of English always being baddies(which if you think about it is racist towards us) Alan Rickman was once asked by a child "why do always play villains?" to which he replied in that great voice of his, "I don't play villains, I play...interesting people!"

Not always. He was pretty good as Kevin Kline's artist buddy with a slight feminine touch in "The January Man".
