Unwatchable TV Shows (Not The Usual Suspects)
Not the Usual Suspects Means
No Cooking, gardening, property or reality bollocks No LarfAtLosers like Xfactor, No Talent Evident or Big Brother I mean real shows that actually have a budget and script (obviously excluding all soaps) My nominations are Morse and Midsommer Murders; not just because they are middle class wank, but mainly because sleepy little middle england enclaves have a higher mortality rate than Afghanistan Last edited by vo1v0d; October 9th, 2012 at 05:26 PM.. Well, it's the same for shows from the US like, Law & Order, the CSI franchises, NCIS and others. If the real world was like these shows, it would be a lot more dangerous with all the plots and crimes being committed. Heck, I would say that one season's worth of storylines for NCIS hasn't happened in the last 50 years, let alone one.
And the 80's show Murder, She Wrote took place in the small Maine town of Cabot Cove. Cabot Cove had a higher murder rate than Detroit, New York and LA combined.

By a considerable margin in the UK (how I cheered when they cancelled it) that laughter-free zone 'comedy' called 'My Family' Once, we gathered to watch the Christmas 'Special' - one where they are trapped on a stuck tube train. Even buoyed by Christmas lunch and good (liquid) cheer, this fest of unfunniness actually spoilt the mood of all four of us...

Remember Monk the OCD suffering TV detective, oh dear... I suppose another variation on the original neurotic investigator old Sherlock himself, House being a more obvious example. Funnily enough I don't mind the latter but I'd rather be strapped to a chair and forced to watch Diagnosis Murder and Murder She Wrote on endless repeat than view another episode of Monk. Yep that bad, I'm getting counselling...

The new Dallas, Just when you thought it cannot possibly be worse than the original, it proves me wrong. It makes the original look Oscar worthy.

I find very little watchable on TV these days. I keep my cable mostly for news (local and international) and sports. There are some comedies and dramas worth watching but they are few and far between.
Other than The Simpsons, which has been a bit tired that last few years, there isn't any other animated comedy from Fox worth watching. Family Guy, American Dad, and The Cleveland show are all (to me) as funny as testicular cancer. Bob's Burgers is another on the Fox unfunny animated comedy list. I'm sure there are others but I can't be bothered with trying to remember them. I'll also throw in pretty much everything on the Comedy Central Channel too except for South Park. Nor do I find Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld, Mike & Molly, the New Normal, Glee, 2 Broke Girls, Baby Daddy, or most other comedy shows funny or watchable. I especially dislike the night-time soap operas that are running. Dallas, Sons of Anarchy, Pretty Little Liars, Secrets of the American Teenager, etc... are all crap. Any TV show by Tyler Perry is unwatchable. Then there are all the "brilliantly intelligent" dramas coming to the US from over the pond. Most of them are so stupid they make Jeremy Clarkson look like Stephen Hawking. But no more on that because detailing his stupidity could fill up a 100 page thread by itself. I like Doctor Who though. Figure that one out. Rereading what I just wrote I realize that I must come across as a right miserable bastard. I am. |

Dr. Quinn, medicine woman. When they gave the diseased blankets to the indians I think they were trying to get her.

I simply can't watch soaps; the characters are so awful, it's like Alien 3 - you don't care if the bad guys win 'cos the good guys are terrible and dour people; adulterers, thieves, or occasionally even murderers; the few decent people seem to be victims all the time. I get bored out of my skull and haven't watched a soap for years. Plus there's far more interesting things on TV, just not enough of them |

That's funny I hate Family Guy and The Cleveland show with a passion but like American Dad although they were created by the same person Seth McFarland. I cannot stand the Law and Order franchise for several reasons. 1) They show the police and prosecutors casually violating suspect's rights and imply this is good. 2) All these procedural cop shows have just been too cliche. Just end all the Law and Order shows.
