My current lady says she posed for Playboy. I don't think she's right in that, it more likely to be in a magazine which included amateur contributions, but as it's early days in our relationship I've never pushed the topic in case she imagines I'm obsessing about it (I am, but I don't want it to seem like I am! I mean, I've downloaded entire volumes of Playboy from this site just to see if I could see her in her younger days...not that I'm obsessing. I've then searched through scanned copies of magazines that DO feature amateur submissions in the hope I'll find her, but without success...not that I'm obsessing).

I'm not sure if she even has a copy of the magazine, or the photos. If it was me, I'm sure I'd keep both, even if locked away in a special memory box, just to take out and look at when old, to re-imagine myself in youth. I'm hoping this is the case and, as our relationship maybe grows, she shares those memories with me.

Anyway, to answer the questions, I suspect she did it for money at the time, being a single Mum in that period of her life, and from the discussion we did have about it she simultaneously regrets doing it and is proud and pleased she did.

What I mean from that is that she didn't necessarily want to do it, but it was an opportunity to earn some extra much-needed cash at the time. And in hindsight she regrets she was ever in that position at all.

She says she wouldn't do it again (she's a lady of a certain age now, and despite being a certain age, let's just call it 'of mature years', she's still hot -to me- and definitely still photographable. Again, the relationship is young enough for me not to yet push or press the idea she poses for me.

But I tell you, I would LOVE to find those 'readers wives' photos she took, take some of my own, maybe even recreating the original poses, for contrast and compare purposes. There's nothing hotter, I think, than looking at photos of ladies photographed naked now, and naked 20 years ago!

I have absolutely no idea. I didn't even know they featured amateurs.

From what I can gather 'you can't see much of my face' suggests a single photo.

Following up on this I've just spent a couple of very enjoyable evenings scouring 'Readers Wives' contributions to this forum.

I found a contribution which isn't my lady's name, or was ever her location, but thought it looked a bit like her (and challenges the idea that you can't see much of her face! Or my thought that there was likely to be only one photo. But is it her?

Obviously I'm not going to post how my lady looks now, but running it through some facial recognition software gave a 75% likelihood in one photo, and 63% likelihood in a second. The third photo was at such a different angle that it produced a low score.

I've no idea how valid this makes the readers wife I think looks like her actually be my lady. I've read that a lot of facial recognition software is 98% inaccurate...

I'll keep looking, but 75%??? Would love it to be her!

As I recall, they used random names for most readers' wives back in the day, to preserve anonymity they claimed... lol. Yeah, like being named for all and sundry to see under a bunk name insured that your pervy old neighbour & guy from local shop wouldn't recognise you. Brenda from Abingdon was rarely actually that, but more likely Anne from Telford. There were a few notable exceptions, who have threads here, but for the most part not.

Kathy from Cornwall is mightily familiar. I forgot to take note of the issue number and magazine it's from, as I've edged around the topic since and I'm pretty sure I can narrow when she might have posed to a 2-3 year period, and identifying the year of the magazine would either suggest there's a strong possibility it's her, or allow me to dismiss the idea it's her.

If anyone can help identify the magazine and year I'd be delighted (although I've already begun trawling again for myself). As for 'Kathy', well the boobs/nipples are the same in size and areola colour, a crucifix necklace worn is owned although lots of women own one, so that's hardly a clincher. She's shared some old family albums with me and the hairstyle worn in 'Kathy's' photos was worn in some photos of her younger years, although 'Kathy' has more blonde highlights than my lady demonstrates in old photos.

Finding out the magazine and year (if anyone can point me at the correct thread) would narrow things down a lot.

Ah! Found the mag in question! Fiesta, February 1990! And that fits the timescale involved. Around then she had just found a new partner (they stayed together for 25 years) and it was a period of trying new things together (I won't go into the details of what that entailed) and him persuading her to pose for a men's mag was his suggestion and something to which she agreed.

When first told of her appearance in a men's mag (Playboy, she said), I'd imagined it being something she'd done in her early 20s, after her marriage broke up, and she needed extra money as a single Mum. I speculate on this a few posts above.

The time scale (1990) definitely fits when it was likely to have happened (I'd since guessed a period of between 1989-92, in the early years of that long standing relationship she had.

I shall try and find out more! What I've also learned since is that there were many other photos taken, many of which would not have graced the likes of 'Readers' Wives'.

My wife had let me take photos of her since we first married. We started off with some polaroids.
It took me some time to talk my her into sending some pics to readers wives. Her main argument was no one would want to see a mid 30s mother or 3, with small tits, and she was also afraid she'd be recognised. We came to a compromise and agreed she would wear sunglasses if that would make her more comfortable,* she agreeded to that,* but said she still not sure about sending them in.

We managed to get her mother to let the kids sleep over at there place one Saturday night so we could take the photos. As this was pre digital so we had to get them developed,* which we did by sending them to a company advertised in Fiesta.

When the photos came back we went through them and picked two lots of about 8 pics to send off, one lot to Fiesta and one lot to Razzle. She was convinced they wouldn't be published, but at least we could say she'd tried. I gave her both letters to to post so if her nerves did get the better of her she could bring them home again. I know my stomach did a little somersault when she came home, and said she'd posted them.

As time went by and we hadn't heard anything, I was beginning to fear my wife would feel rejected, if her photos didn't appear in one of the mags.

I came home from work once night, and she rushed up to me as soon as I got in door. Waving a letter from Fiesta, there going to publish my pics she said, she was so excited, I felt so* pleased for her, and for myself because it was something I'd always wanted. They were published in Fiesta Readers wives special 21. Later we received a letter from Razzle, which was the icing on the cake for her, she had been accepted both both magazines. Razzle vol 17 no7 and reprinted in Razzle Readers wives no 10.

We received a cheque, i can't for how much and a copy of the magazine. She also received some letters from male admirers of her photos, she also received letters from a few women, which to my surprise really turned her on, and opened up a whole new side to her.

We've been married for 43 years now she still poses for me. But have never tried to have any more pics published.

I asked J if she regretted doing it definitely not was her reply and the same goes for me. Would we do it again yes* we would. One thing she said she would love to chat to another lady who was a readers wife and swap experiences, as it's always the men on here talking about their wives.
