The point about British judges is that They're all pretty old,That's why they have trouble staying awake.

Does the wig hide their eyes so you think they are listening; instead they are sleeping??

I was on a juror panel, had a judge fall asleep and the call a mis-trial; it was an atempted murder... it happen about 15 years ago!! The judge was still trying cases last time I did another jory service.

Sucks -- if I did that I would be fired.

I was sworn into three juries. Can't remember all the official crap. One case was a rape case. I was amazed at the uninterested members who were supposed to be up holding justice. You are even taken up and down a lift for jury members. I just sat amazed and now bewildered at people who took a serious crime like rape as a joke.
