Eurovision is known as the Olympics for Gays, so of course the Russians absolutely love it, they can express their real character through dance and music. It's a tragedy for them.
That year they won it with the dancing ice skater they just outgayed everyone! |

Russia's Song For Europe 2018? Presumably not the Putin "Super Gay" song.

Not trying to make light of this --
MOSCOW—As he was entering a ritzy Kiev hotel, a shower of bullets descended on former Russian parliament member Denis Voronenkov and his bodyguard, who returned fire, injuring the shooter. In a matter of minutes, Voronenkov lay dead in the street, photographers snapping pictures of his splayed and bloodied body, still in its expensive blue suit. The shooter has not been identified, but the Ukrainian president has accused the Kremlin of orchestrating the killing. If that proves true, the assassination would fit a pattern, and serve as a symbol of how far the Russian government seems to be willing to go to make its message unmistakably clear. But I found this and it seems appropriate. |

Is it true that in English there are meaningless articles and any additions that poke holes between words? The answer is no. In the Russian language, there are many more words, endings, and word forms than can be imagined. These English-speaking actors (who played Russian gangsters) did not know Russian. Hence you have this stereotype. The ending (s) "ov"-"ов" indicates the plural (in the genetive case, which answers the question of whom?) Table - Tables.... стол - столов(Pl gen) Cow - Cows.... корова - (but plural; genetive case) коров Last edited by Licht; March 26th, 2017 at 06:01 AM.. |

In December 2014, the Moscow Office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation sent to the State Duma materials on the deprivation of Voronenkov's immunity in connection with the criminal case of raider capture of the building in the center of Moscow. According to the materials of the case, Voronenkov found a buyer for a mansion with a total area of 1500 m² and a market value of 127 million rubles on International Street, house 38, which belonged to Otari Kobakhidze, the only founder of Tom LLC, for which he received an advance payment of $ 100,000. [22] [23] [24]. On April 6, 2015, the Investigative Committee sent documents to the Prosecutor General's Office to resolve the issue of submitting to the State Duma an idea of depriving Denis Voronenkov of immunity and giving consent to bringing him as an accused [25]. On February 15, 2017, a decision was made to involve Voronenkov as a defendant in committing crimes under Part 3 of Art. 33, part 1 of Art. 170.1 of the Criminal Codex (organization of falsification of the unified state register of legal entities) and part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Codex (fraud). He hid from the investigation. The main thing is to become an "oppositionist" in time. The usual crime - and no more. But Poroshenko blames Russia for everything. Guys. The truth is that if we really wanted to "hurt" Poroshenko. He would not have been alive for a long time. And two groups of (REAL but Not invented by nationalist Ukrainian propaganda) Russian special forces of the GRU would have cleared the entire southeast of the country in two days. Who needs it. In Ukraine, a weak state. And all its failures, it pushes Russia away. Look at what is happening in Balakley (in Ukraine) - explosions of shells everywhere. The warehouse exploded. That's what happens when Russian money leaves the region. As a result, they are not able to support their weapons. Clowns ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpwEZ_9VLD8 |

I wasn't atually being serious, Licht. It's just something a comedian once many years ago. As for your English grammar question, I'm sorry I can't answer that as I know very little of the grammatical rules of english. When I was at junior school almost all the work we did was in 'comprehension', and I think that's why I don't have much trouble understanding what people mean. While I can type quite well I don't really know why a word goes where it does in an english sentence. I have looked at some english grammar books, but they all go into too much technical detail rather than just have a sentence with a 'labelling' word below or above each word of the sentence and then elxpain what's going on, so the stuff doesn't actually 'sink in' when I do read the ramar books.

The Peoples Republic of China claims that it has legal title to all lands ruled by Imperial China. It has used these claims to justify the annexation of Tibet and claim sovereignty over most of the South China Sea. Does this bother the people of Russia at all?
Imperial China once controlled lands north of the Amur and a good chunk north of the 50th parallel, most land south of the 50th parallel west to the 80th degree of longitude, and even some lands between the 40th and 50th parallel west to the 70th degree of longitude. Given the vast disparity in populations and declining Russian birthrates, it would seem that China could occupy these lands whenever it deems the situation favorable. It is a nuclear power, after all, and will soon be the world's largest economy again. |

My friend who was a Russian language specialist for the Army tells me that Russian is a great language for poetry because it does not have the word order conventions found in English. Last edited by Arturo2nd; March 30th, 2017 at 09:49 AM.. Reason: oops |
