Default [mystery - additional]

box.

Not really adding much, but she was also on the cover of Tiger, 1973-Spring.

I don't know whether the name Nancy Robinson, shown on the cover, pertains to the cover model or not.

While I'm about it, here's a slightly larger version of the mystery box cover from All Man, 1973-02.

edit: Tiger seems to have been part of the Modern Man stable, and both often seem to have named the cover model in something like the above fashion--though sometimes more explicitly, e.g. with an arrow. So maybe this should be(come) a mystery-unfolded as Nancy Robinson?

Thanks, effy

I have not been able to find anything on "Nancy Robinson" at VEF, or elsewhere.

I wonder if we can find a copy of any photo-shoot or TOC that confirms the ID.

I'm not certain, but could this perhaps also be mystery on the cover of Pix 05-06, 1974-04? No name known, or whether she featured within.

edit: Hmm, I hadn't noticed before: ring on her right pinky seems common with All Man cover.

Looks like we have her clearly identified as Nancy Robinson in two publications (Tiger & Adam) and as "Nancy" in Pix.

& here's the cover of Adam 17-07, 1973-08.

Where does "aka Brooke Benton" come from?

I'm pretty sure she was in Adam (or maybe Knight?) under that name but no longer have the issues, 1973 or so. She's the centerfold in 1/73 California Girl (a Greenleaf mag, Ron Vogel shoot) as Brook Benton, minus the wig. This is #8, the only one I ever saw or owned. Names used in it are nearly all standard ones, which is why I've always taken BB as such. Fred Enke does a Pam Kirk shoot, Larry Caye contributes a Marie Harlow, a Debbie Thompson, and a Vickie Blaine. A 3-girl beach set pretends to be from Rhodes, with Angela, Gail, and Kiki, but one of the models is Linda Rome and this was shot a lot closer to Santa Monica than to Rhodes.

Greenleafs of the early 70s were fairly reliable as to names. They had a "Rally Girl," 2 or 3 issues with nudes/vehicles, and the names there were close but not the usual: Pam Kirk was Patricia Kerr, Carona Faoro was Carol Fair, but Linda McDowell was Linda McDowell. Also, at least 2 Hal McQueeney-shot "Hawaiian Girls," which used the same names I saw for several of the models in Adam or Swank family books.

On the cover of Debonair, 1978-07. Not sure but from the cover the mag. possibly called her Penelope, inside?

mods: perhaps consider for a PMT?
