Rapidshare down again?

I haven't been able to use Rapidshare since yesterday afternoon. I recall having an issue before about a month ago with using Internet Explorer. Using Firefox or Chrome worked though. Well as of yesterday, none of the browsers are working with Rapidshare.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Just tried it again with no success. I tried to ping the rapidshare website but no reply. Used different browsers. Cleared Cache with Firefox. Still nothing. When I try to just go to rapidshares homepage, Chrome warns me that there's an SSL error and warns me from continuing. I select "proceed anyways" but the webpage doesn't display.

This is a bizarre one because I had used it yesterday around noon time and by around 7pm eastern standard it stopped working.

I'm in Canada, wondering if there's some ban on it or something now. Any suggestions are most welcomed.

How do you use a proxy to access rapidshare?

Thanks Taffy, I"ll bookmark that link. I've solved the mystery. My friend can access it, so the problem is obviously withi my PC. Strange how everything else works and that just stopped but oh well. I'm out of luck but am glad the RS is alive and well.

Firstly, i have the same problems.

If you already in rapidshare account, since and now,
no longer have access gets, you get him back never.
The only solution is a new application.

Attention, without a new EMail nothing works.

If some members here say everything is ok., that is not true.

Well, I tried the link again in my first post and I can not only access the page but also download the file - it downloads very slowly, with a lot of pauses, but that's often the case with Rapidshare now. This is just using the free access, without any kind of membership. So is this just a problem for people who've purchased RapidPro? Can you access the page in the way a free user would?

It doesn't prove that it's your PC if your friend isn't on the same ISP as you. Do you have a static or dynamic IP address? You could try rebooting your router if you've had a continuous connection since this problem started.

Now I try it myself, I see it's not so easy to use a proxy with Rapidshare, so forget that.

If clearing cookies doesn't fix it, try making a completely fresh profile in Firefox. Use the -ProfileManager switch on the command line and then change to the new profile temporarily.
