My main goal was to find ids for models. Akas for known models, or info. about additional content for them, is secondary to me. But it can still be useful.

I began browsing and for some already id'd I've posted thumbs to their threads. I did so just as part of the initial exploration of the material. It's a very big resource so it will take quite a long time to simply browse. Should I not post anything at all until after I've viewed everything & decided the best strategy, etc.? Big plan up front is not my way. /shrug/ Iterative & incremental, instead.

AU9059, called "Heather", is apparently the same as my unknown model 651

Some sets seem not to be in the index, not in the original index on that web page either, I found: HE8608 - there may be more such.

Sadly there don't seem to be any thumbs (sheets) for AU9059. I initially wondered if that was because it was one of the sets of slides rather than digital (digitised?) images, but checked another from there, AU9035, & found there were thumbs for it, so... /shrug/ another mystery. But AU9035 is also listed on the digitals doc/sheet.

AU9061, slides only, is missing thumbs.
AU9054, slides only, is missing thumbs.

So I guess there are some sets that have not (yet?) been digitised, and so lack thumbs (sheets). But some other sets listed on the slides doc/sheet have been digitised, and so get a second listing on the digitals doc/sheet.

I suppose that kinda makes sense.

Sorry if my earlier response sounded a bit dismissive. I think this is an important question. Perhaps better instead if I ask: what do you suggest? Is one better/more important than the other, and if so which, & why? Must it be either/or? Can/should it not be both? Why? /shrug/

I'm open to (considered) suggestions from you & others here.

Here are some pics. of Charon Morris as Sharon, photog. Siwer Ohlsson. What is not clear is whether the following set of Sharon & Stephanie are also her? I suppose the only way to check is to find examples of this set in full size from mag. scans, etc.

SET NO: NAME: IN FIRST NAME ORDER. NO. OF DIGITALS. DESCRIPTION.
SO1001 SHARON - 48 white bed and uw. red suit, by waterfall, in the river, vet body. USA blackhair
SO1004 SHARON & STEPHANIE 40 lesbians by waterfall, forest, horse and car. USA blackhair and negroid.

----

Does that seem like too much of a fishing expedition? I didn't set out for such, it's just that while browsing some of the Siwer Ohlsson sets I recognised Charon Morris, and then wondered about the set above.

Yea, no worries.
The text in the brackets [ ] was just in case the model info was off topic. The pinüps.dk website has a combination of some unknowns, some partial IDs, and some IDs which may or may not be a models's best known name, etc. I agree that providing info for any of the above can be helpful, especially in some cases where the website only has small thumbs for viewing.

I've been re-looking at the raw data & have improved my regular expressions so that it'd be a bit less manual work to re-do the data into columns (mostly), but the thing is that I think the only way to prevent Excel stripping the leading zeros is to put a ' before them, and unlike where one does that manually within Excel, if I do that to the text file prior to importing into/opening with Excel (that's the only reasonable/manageable way, given the quantity), then they remain visible within excel. That is: Excel then doesn't treat them as "special" characters. So: that way keeps the leading zeros but also prepends a '. So I still wonder whether it's really worth all the effort of re-doing the data?
I found this when googling (actually: bing-ing) the issue:
Note: When Excel opens a .csv file, it uses the current default data format settings to interpret how to import each column of data. If you want more flexibility in converting columns to different data formats, you can use the Import Text Wizard. For example, the format of a data column in the .csv file may be MDY, but Excel's default data format is YMD, or you want to convert a column of numbers that contains leading zeros to text so you can preserve the leading zeros. To force Excel to run the Import Text Wizard, you can change the file name extension from .csv to .txt before you open it, or you can Import a text file by connecting to it.

Aha! The mistake I made when importing before was still treating the fields as "General" rather than "text". Another MS wizard implicit behaviour "feature".

OK, I guess it's now worthwhile to re-do the data. /sigh!/

edit: new archive now uploaded, lnk in same place in other thread.

Not sure if she has a thread @ VEF, however here's some of her content...
