“He is only the president ... in his view, of those who voted for him".
Adam Schiff, yesterday. |

Yes. "Assuming the presidency" prior to 2017 meant accepting responsibility to act on behalf of all Americans. Instead, Trump has enacted legislation which harms the states which did not vote for him. For example, the recent tax bill was designed with surgical precision to damage the coastal states.

The thing, well ONE of the things I don't understand or get about Trump is exactly what the hell did he do while he was at the Wharton School of Business at Penn? He has said that he has never used drugs or alcohol which I believe, if only because it is outrageously terrifying to imagine how he would act if he was three sheets to the wind. But did he spend all of his time grabbing women by the pussy? Shooting pool in the student union? Did he actually go to class, but then just sit there and doodle dongs and fighter jets? I just don't get it.

Trump rides on the reflected reputation of the Wharton MBA program -- which particularly after he went there was highly regarded. But he doesn't have a Wharton MBA, and at the time he went to the undergraduate program, the program was neither selective nor was it highly regarded. Second, although Trump claims to have graduated "at the top of [his] class" the records from university commencement show no such thing. No honors -- 56 Wharton students were on the "Dean's List" in his year, and he wasn't one of them. So he wasn't even one of the "top 56 in my class". |

I'm class of 1971. The science majors were the smart guys; the business majors not so much. Liberal arts kind of in between, although pre-law and poli-sci majors were the really quick extroverts. Some were just in college because the student deferment kept you away from Viet Cong bullets. |

Oh for fucks sake.
Neither President Trump nor Vice President Pence attended or apparently gave ANY thought to attending Veterans Day ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery. Fuck. They could have walked there from the White House. Literally. It might have taken an hour and change but fuck, HOW CAN YOU NOT DO THIS?!?! It's bad enough that Trump wusses out of attending a ceremony over in France because it was raining, (and yes I know that his safety people and those who operate Marine One don't like to fly when it rains, but as a Obama official pointed out on Twitter, there are ALWAYS alternate travel plans drawn up. There is ALWAYS another way to get there. But he's right, this sure is "MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN." It's such a FABULOUSLY marvelous look for the Presidency and the United States. And what makes this even more teethgrindingly awful is that these are the same goddamn people who have spent the past 2+ years bleating and yelling about HOW MUCH WE LOVE THE TROOPS, OUR GREAT MILITARY, THE BESTEST IN THE WORLD!!!!!! and bitching about how Obama fucked up the VA but now Trump is going to fix it because 'I'm a fixer. Obama was a destroyer of many things that made out country great and I'm a fixer, I'm gonna fix all of them, it's what I do." Now I will admit that the VA system for a variety of reasons is seriously screwed up, but it isn't entirely Obama's fault, though he did just sort of let lie there by the side of the road panting. But now it turns out that veterans haven't gotten their GI Bill payments for MONTHS, to the point that one guy had to choose between spending his money on bus fare to get to work or getting some food to eat. Last edited by ShutUpLutz!; November 12th, 2018 at 11:26 PM.. Reason: Forgot some more outrage Trump had done. |

It was $60, 700,000 in loans. And now it turns out that ICE agents are torturing and abusing pregnant detainees. One woman miscarried in her cell. One woman was xrayed while she was pregnant (a medical NO!! anyway) but wasn't given any protection such as the lead blankets patients are given. ICE agents also allegedly told Gladys Monroy-Guerra del Tesucum who was seeking asylum, "Why did you come from your country? (Guatemala) Don't you know that WE HATE YOU PEOPLE?! We don't want you in our country." Gee, where have I heard and read that kind of talk before? Hmmmm, (snaps fingers) oh yeah, NAZI FUCKING GERMANY. Christ. |
