yeah ,me too ,my mum found some soft stuff in a back-pack when
I was 13, I used to cover the mags between school books,she found later
some hard porn stuff when I was 19 years old and was telling me how bad
it was to have these books...My god! I was so shocked to know that she could invade my privacy !!!
I was feeling so ashamed as if I absolutely did not wanted her to know
that ,let alone to speak about that !!! It was like a trauma for me by knowing that suddenly I was not the well mannered/educated boy she thought I was.
I think as parents ,it's good to be open about sex stuff but as educators
they need to protect their intimacy as much as they need to respect their
children sexual intimacy as well.

No actual porn mags (I did, and still do, keep them in the loft).

However we used to get the Daily Star newspaper. When they started doing the P3 girl pics in colour, I collected them religiously. Back then, you got one colour pic per week (on a Monday) and the picture occupied a whole page of the paper The paper was printed in such a way that you got two sheets (each one folded in half to become four actual pages) in colour, and the rest of the paper in black and white.

I collected every single colour picture for a good number of years, keeping the lot in a large black plastic folder, the sort of oversized folder that art students carry around to keep their work in.

At some point, mum found this folder, and tore the whole lot into bits before binning them all. She never said a word about it, I just came home one day to find the folder exactly where I'd left it, only completely empty. To this day I have never mentioned it either. But as you can no doubt imagine, I was gutted. The saddest thing being of course that I would have been able to scan the whole lot in nowadays to make a more permanent record.

...Worse happened to a friend, though. His (highly repressed, very Christian) Policeman father found them, and hurled them theatrically across the family table whilst the rest of the family were eating breakfast. His (even more repressed) mother and siblings were suitably shocked. Didn't stop him though, and I always said he needed a better hiding place...

...Perhaps more humiliating was when I tried to buy a copy of Club from John Menzies, aged about 16. The middle aged lady shouted to her mate "Do you think this little pervert is 18?" ensuring the entire shop saw what little nerve and dignity dissolve into ear-burning embarrasment.

Small newsagents fromthen on, so I guess a lesson was learned. Imagine growing up today, in this Internet world, without knowing the slightly shameful thrill of face-to-face porn purchasing!

Oh yeah, embarrasing...
- I left one in the bathroom when I was 13-ish, my father very friendly and patiently reminded me never to leave it there again: it has laying there while we had a house full of family, because I forgot it there, and all that time it was theirs to enjoy!!

- the worst occasion: As a student in the mid eighties I was abroad for 8 weeks doing some summerjob in the mediterranean. Now, obviously those weeks provided for plenty of girls to forget about the mags back home but when I returned my mother was glad to see me and told me by the way that she had been cleaning my room...and I found out my entire stash was gone!!! Never to be found again!!

I'm from Dallas, Texas--over here in 'the states'--and have enjoyed looking at naked women since I first stole a peek at Dad's Playboys when I was 8 or 9.
Ever since then I made it a quest to score any skin mags (the raunchier, the better) that I could get my horny little hands on. Around the age of 14, we lived in an apartment behind a "Stop'n Go"-convenience store which had a rather large magazine rack with a rather large selection of 'adult' mags on the top shelf. Hustler. Chic, Club, CI, Velvet, Swank, High Society, etc. The Arabs that owned that store put the mag rack in the back corner of the store along with the video games popular back in that day (PacMan, Asteriods, etc) and my buddies and I would stand in the back and play video games and stuff porn mags down our pants (especially easy in the winter months with the heavy coat on!) and I quickly amassed a huge collection. I also remember rummaging through the trash dumpsters in the cluster of apartments we lived in and once in a while would score even more mags. I had a huge collection and would divide my stash into ones I kept and ones I traded (mostly for beer and pot) and was quite popular with my buddies.
Then one Saturday I came home (stoned as hell) and found a bunch of my mags laying out on the living room table. My mom was cool about it and told me to throw them away, so I packed them into the little box I kept them in and took them to the dumpster and waited till she went to work on Monday and went out to get them AND THEY WERE GONE!!!
So I restarted my collection and kept them much better hidden!
And I never got busted again!

I absolutely love this website and have found many of the pics I remember from those glory days and have amassed a quite a folder on my computer!

My first recollection of seeing a porno mag was the odd crumpled page or so we used to find occasionally in the local woods, Wtf was that all about? I guess some ashamed individual used to sneak off, tug himself into a stupour, then in his guilty, ball emptied shame, tear them up in disgust with himself, and leave them for all us young kids to find.

After a while i used to cut out the girls from page 3 and keep them, but once I started my milk round, I had enough money to buy my own. I just used to keep them in a box in my cupboard, lifting out the one I fancied.

My mum had to raise us on our own and having two boys I guess she knew we looked at stuff like that. I left them in an untidy mess, burger shots aplenty, at the side of my bed one night and must've forgot to put them away. When I got home, they were all neatly folded and placed in a tidy heap under the bed! God bless her.
Later she mentioned that I should keep my room more tidy and that real women weren't really like the girls in the magazines. She then went on to tell me that she used to get them for my dad...lol.

Unfortunately, space was a premium back then and I threw them all out to make way for storage for my old subbuteo stuff. I had tons of the stuff. I still think now, i made the wrong choice, but now I have this fantastic forum to bring back alll those good memories.

When I got home I found my pile of magazines (I read "Military Modelling" which covered playbirds, knave etc.) tided into neat piles -with my porn discreetly at the bottom!
