Imgbox
Hello all,
for the benefit of a relative luddite like myself could someone please explain to me, in the MOST laymanesque of terms, how to change the IHG codes for Imagebox? I've been following this thread and just can't make heads or tails out of it. Help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers! |

1) Top left, there's a label "Host Label" & beside it a box with the value: imgbox In this case, leave that as is. 2) Below it, there's a label "URL Pattern" & beside it a box with the value: http:\/\/imgbox\.com\/\w+ In this case, leave that as is. 3) There's a label "Search Pattern" and below that a large box with the value: "REPLACE: '(http:\/\/)(imgbox\.com\/\w+)', '$1i.$2'" In this case, that's the one you'll want to change. You'll want to change it to what I posted previously here, i.e. all the stuff in the blue box. I'll put that same blue box here, for clarity/simplicity: Code:
function(pageData, pageUrl) { var iUrl = pageData.match(/src=('|")(https?:\/\/)(i|images)(\.imgbox\.com\/.+?)\1 title=('|")(.+?)\5/); return iUrl ? {imgUrl: iUrl[2] + iUrl[3] + iUrl[4], fileName: iUrl[6], status: "OK"} : {imgUrl: null, status: "ABORT"} } Switch to IHG. Highlight everything in the "Search Pattern" box inside your IHG Host File Editor window, i.e. where it currently says: "REPLACE: '(http:\/\/)(imgbox\.com\/\w+)', '$1i.$2'" Paste what you've copied from my box, i.e. completely replacing what was there. Check that it looks the same as what's in my box. Then press the "Save changes" button at the bottom of your Host File Editor window. Then test it with a vef post with imgbox links. |

Imgbox
Thx for your quick reply!
Tried everything above and now IHG won't function at all for Imgbox. Before it just showed a 'loading' status but now won't come up with anything. Other hosts work no problem. Using Pale Moon btw. Am I doing something wrong? This is what I have now.. Last edited by ohmss1956; September 17th, 2017 at 12:30 AM.. Reason: addition |

Yes, gnewellperv has correctly spotted that you're missing the last curly bracket.
A point to remember about programming languages: brackets/braces/parens. are always in pairs. |

Help! The "Save Changes" button is greyed out :-(
I'm having the same problem with imgbox as everybody else, it seems.
I've tried to follow the instructions in this thread, though I'm often not sure where exactly I should be pasting the script that starts function and ends with }} However, when I try the button marked Save Changes, it's greyed out, so I'm obviously doing something wrong! I open the Image Host Grabber by right clicking on the page, then choose Host File Editor from the drop down menu, so far so good. The box labelled Host Label ( top left ) is empty, so I type imgbox In the URL Pattern box below I copy and paste http:\/\/imgbox\.com\/\w+ The large box below the words Search Pattern is empty I click on the button to the right marked "Select..." and from the drop down choose "Replace" This appears "REPLACE: 'http:\/\/imgbox\.com\/\w+', '...'" And I paste this string over it "REPLACE: '(http:\/\/)(imgbox\.com\/\w+)', '$1i.$2'" Then I go back to the button and choose "function" from the drop down menu This now appears in the large box function(pageData, pageUrl) { // Default returned value when no image or link URL found var retVal = {imgUrl: null, status: "ABORT"}; // Insert your code hereunder to build the target URL // Acceptable values for retVal.status are: "OK", "ABORT", "RETRY", "REQUEUE" or "REDIRECT" var iUrl = ...; if (iUrl) { retVal.imgUrl = iUrl; retVal.status = "OK"; } return retVal; } Which I replace with a copy and pasted function(pageData, pageUrl) { var iUrl = pageData.match(/src=('|")(https?:\/\/)(i|images)(\.imgbox\.com\/.+?)\1 title=('|")(.+?)\5/); return iUrl ? {imgUrl: iUrl[2] + iUrl[3] + iUrl[4], fileName: iUrl[6], status: "OK"} : {imgUrl: null, status: "ABORT"} } noting the duplicate }} at the end... Now I'm given a choice of these buttons Reset Form Add Host Modify hostf servers Pick Host File Reset to Default Host File Merge Host File and Update from online Host File Whereas these two Save Changes and Delete Host are greyed out and inoperative. Whatever button I choose from the active list I get nowhere Where have I gone wrong? |

Above Host Label is another box, "Select host..." with a drop down arrow. Click the arrow and it will bring up a list of host sites to select. Scroll down to imgbox and select it from there and then paste in the new search pattern code in the fields below that. |

euhm, some patience perhaps...?

hopefully this might help you: My experience so far: It does take time for all these images to be grabbed and downloaded... this depends on your connection (Mb / sec etc.) your PC ( the system itself, Windows version, used browser etc. ) and pages full of images.. When a session is started the progress window first shows the connection to the selected pages, then a while nothing happens (several seconds) and only then the progress window opens with the rows of images trying to get downloading; usually 5 images to start then the next 5 etc. Note: i have reduced the amount of attempts to download to 5, if an image is not there anymore; it is just not there anymore..( older postings may have a lot of missing images, due to the hosts...) more DL attempts are not useful and are only slowing down the process, even could stall the DL and even cause IHG to stop completely, check these settings, please. Downloading 5 pages , 10 posts per page, with 50 to 100 images per post ( a typical post with a full magazine scan or a model's photoset gallery post results in even more than 100 images) such a DL process could take as much as 60 minutes or more... Click on this example below: (notice the status bar and status at left bottom corner) regards, hfh.
