For those overseas members, the Aussies will certainly remember the beer company wars during the 80's I loved endless commercials, fierce rivalry and competition for market share.

I don't like Carlton Draught, but I think they had the best ad during those wars

Sorry mate, I just cannot handle VB at all anymore Granted it was great when I was still an apprentice and not making a real lot of cash, like way back in 1988

Oz-- good whiskey, ruinously expensive.

What is it with Oz and whiskey? Aussies are making some really good stuff, even a sour mash Bourbon-style (Tiger Snake, from Lime Burners), but its all priced like its gold.

Yummy stuff, if you can convince someone to buy it for you . . .

Lark -- excellent. Sullivan's Cove, supposed to be very nice too, but I've never had. Best Oz whiskies I've had so far are the Limeburners range, from WA . .. really nice stuff, was lucky enough to get to try at a tasting. Small production, definitely top shelf.

Lark is nice . . . but the WA stuff is fantastic, their sour mash is as good as the best US bourbons I've had, pretty amazing . . .
