I watched Captain America Winter Soldier http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1843866/

These super hero films are not my cup of tea. Watching Robert Redford say "Hail Hydra", the only thought in my mind was how much were they paying him to say this crap.

Saw he was making 20 million for each film he makes, not sure what he made for this one, but now completely understand why he spouts such craptastic lines.

Brilliant when you stumble across a film that not only hits the believable ground running but get`s progressively better with each scene.



What`s not so great is when you remember that you stumbled across it.
Bah
This ultra low budget movie needed proper backing.
Instead had no promotion worth it`s salt and died a death.



Am a third through.
This is one of the leanest films I've seen.
Nothing is padded and it moves faster than you realise.



Should have been a hit darn it !.

X-Men: Apocalypse




Director Bryan Singer attempts to bring one of the X-Men's greatest foe's to the big screen in X-Men: Apocalypse
I found the character Apocalypse to be very intimidating at the beginning of the film ,but as the movie goes on
i was far less impressed with him and i felt he completely loses all presence by the end of the film,and his look and stature
in the film really comes off as one of the villains from Masked Rider or Power Rangers.It's not even a problem with the casting.

Oscar Isaac is a great actor but maybe the character would have worked better if he had further mutated into the look of
the character from the comic books as he performed certain acts in the movie.

On the plus side Michael Fassbender's portrayal of Magneto and his story gives the movie some great dramatic weight
Also quite good are James McAvoy as Professor X providing a serious and humorous performance and the introduction of
younger versions of Scott Summers (Tye Sheridan) and Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) Angel (Ben Hardy), Storm (Alexandre Shipp)
and Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee)
Theres a good amount of crowd pleasing including another super speed scene with Quicksilver (Evan Peters)

Jennifer Lawrence comes off very distant this time around as Mystique so much so i really wonder if she will return for anymore
sequels.Aside from a terrific opening sequence a some portions of the action sequences are a bit stiff

In the end the movie is good but definitely not on the same level as the first 2 X-Men films in this series.

Forty minutes into this and finding it quite fun.



But then we`re talking about an insane undertaker who`s now a burned up house haunting Ghoul (Along with his wife and sprog). That while alive buried empty coffins and sold the bodies for meat.



Exactly , what`s not to love about him

One hour in update = Bloody hell it`s turned into a cross between Straw Dogs and The Exorcist

A weird one, can't see it appealing to younger ( under 40 ) viewers and us older folks just remember the original cast. It would have been good if they had have made it with them back in the day, but now it just jars too much with new actors, Ian Lavender and an incredibly ancient vicar, are in it as the only survivors of the original show.

Catherine Xeta-Jones is still smoking hot though.

One of the best attempts to get into the soldiers´s minds (as if it were possible to really know what goes on there). A great movie for when you are with your own mind prepared for!

It could have worked even with different actors. We're Doomed! The Dad's Army Story showed that. But this remake is a turkey, with none of the charm or gentle good humour of We're Doomed or the TV series.
