We have previously discussed the possibility that Basil Crawford-Smith may be an aka for Peter Flodqvist. Here that name was instead linked with Hans Moser, Jr, but it has since become clear that he was renaming others' work as his in VTO mags. so that possible association now seems unlikely.

In Mayfair 21-12, 1986-12, the pictorial of Felicity Antonia Bernice (Fliss) Wilkinson is credited to Peter Flodquist

I found this site dedicated to Glamour Photographers of the 1950s and 60s. It contains some information of c. 60 photographers, references with which models they worked and examples in which mags their work appeared.

I definitely know nothing about photographers. I don't know, if the info at this site is reliable, new to this thread or worthless. (Exception: The info about Dorothy Gunn seems to be reliable, as found out in this MIR-thread.

So I thought it's worth bringing it to your attention.

The Europe-based photog. Jean Rougeron frequently took pics. of models in USA/Californian locations. I haven't studied Ohlsson much but wouldn't be surprised if they did similar. /shrug/

Olivia is thought to be an aka for the US-based Fred Enke. Some mags. claimed that he worked in the UK for/with some sets/models. Whether that was true I don't know... although I think some were in distinctive European settings--e.g. Sasha Burns in Menorca.

Rougeron & Bourgeois often took European models to the Caribbean for work, as well as other locations likewise probably reached only by air travel.

A little bit about Nick Gurgul in Knave 22-07, 1990, thanks to nikki87. Perhaps the main thing it reveals is his claimed Polish ancestry/surname.

Fred Enke worked in several European locations, Spain for one. Olivia is the name of his widow who incidentally is Sasha.

This will probably not be a very popular post but isn't this entire thread something of an invasion of privacy? If a photographer chose not to be credited by their normal byline shouldn't we respect that? Linking someone with pornographic work could even, hypothetically, damage their careers. [Not likely, I know.]

The posting of models' real names (where not publicly disclosed) is banned for obvious reasons. I just don't see why photographers don't get the same respect for anonymity? Maybe I'm wrong.

The photographers don't seem to have chosen anonymity. After all this is how they earn a living and this can't be done if no one knows who they are. What did apparently happen is the publishers or distributors chose to give false credits for some shoots in some magazines; the reasons are variable. In addition there seem to have been some honest mistakes made i.e. miscrediting the photographer. What we're trying to do here is sort this all out as best we can.
