Hmm you might be right, although it is thinner than lead. I have a portable air conditioner, but it needed to be cleaned out and there wasn't time to do it this time, of course now I will be cleaning it out and making the cold cartridge thing ready in the freezer. One major drawback is it is not able to be placed near the window, and on a really hot day the room gets so hot that the air becomes warm as well, with the ice water in the container melting faster than in an ordinary room. At present the fan is the best option. As any schoolboy knows hot air rises from the ground and with lagging can hang around for hours before dissipating.

Yeah I know that I am 45 and still living with my parents but I cannot afford to move out and it makes more sense incase anything happens to one or both of them-they don't mind, so it's a win-win situation. I cannot also see myself getting married either. I might just add I am not one of these sad individuals that sits at the machine all day and never goes out, nor do I want to be a recluse. I am happy with my life, I'd like to hopefully find another job but again in the present climate that's not possible. I don't know why I am trying to justify my existence to you lot but hey now you know.

This week I noted the media had been hunting out "parents" to complain about the local creche not being open (probably the same monkeys who can't be arsed to turn up for the kids parents evenings despite the staff sitting there for 5 hours waiting for them to show up) on Thursday so wanted to check out if the greater misinformed got to here and bingo.
Wife is a "pension millionaire". You ain't funding it brother, shes paid £40000 into her own pot, which those talented Tory actual millionaires are going to embezzle a la Maxwell, because they haven't got a plan for growth. Perhaps if you'd listened to your public sector idiot before you were excluded, you wouldn't have got sacked, and felt so sorry for yourself, and maybe could have understood strategic deficit is a con to make us pay for mistakes of the Tories best mates in the city.

I know what you mean mate, don't worry about it. I wouldn't want to be o the Underground though, that is even hotter thanks to the clay that is under the earth built in the Victorian times for London-now we're told that new trains have air-con on them but as usual with this country when something goes wrong it has to be fixed...and takes bloody ages! We used to have the longest system in the world but now Shanghai have built the world's longest system and guess what, it is air-conditioned and faster.

The Labour Party were in power between 1997-2010 when the current deficit was created. My old pal Sir Fred got his knighthood from a Labour Govt.

I sure it's a terrible thing being a public sector employee just now but I suppose a reduced pension is better than none.

Nothing wrong with living/looking after your folks GM. Everybody has different situations. I left home early because I thought I was gonna be a ROCKSTAR but I bumped back down to earth very soon. It's 1:15am and BB is off up the wooden hills to bedfordshire.
