I understand. My mum can't cook for shit. I saw her last Friday in Ohio and she burned the frozen pizza and thought it was fabulous. Canned beans with hot dogs cut up in them was haute cuisine growing up.

The lady gave us fried brains and eggs for brekky I thought it looked OK before I knew what it was, I looked at it and hesitated, wished that's where it ended

Even more disgusting than sheep's brains:
Asda Sweet and Sour Chicken. It costs £1, which is vey reasonable for a readymeal, but quite expensive for pre-packaged excrement. Just cut out the middleman and flush it down the toilet, and feel sorry for the microbes down at the sewage farm.

I once went on a "survival hike" with some friends.
We tried pine needle tea (yuck). We ate a garter snake (tastes like trout). We ate cooked roots (bleah). And we cooked a slug and ate it. The slug was like eating a chunk of garden hose. We were soooo glad when we hiked back out and had "real" food. |

Frozen lamb from N.Z. or Australia.
I didn't taste fresh lamb until I was in my early 20's and I haven't been able to eat it since.

You tried there chow mien? My old dear got me one 'as a treat' It languished in the freezer until called for duty, then flew into the bin 7 microwaved minutes later. I kicked the bin in disgust. Last edited by mrfin; September 16th, 2013 at 07:22 AM.. Reason: *extra drama added |

I always wondered how inked Spaghetti would taste. I never dared to try them though.

Chipped Beef on Toast was a staple when I was in the Army. It was commonly called S**t on a Shingle. I just couldn't tolerate it.

Red Bull, i don't know why people like it but i remember when i drank it, it tasted nasty. That was like maybe 3 or 4 years ago, i never ever drank it again. I think if you drink it more than 5 times you get use to the taste and you start liking it. It's what happened when i drank perrier, at first it tasted nasty but later my tongue got use to it when i drank it more than one time with days or weeks passing.
