Did she do hardcore?
Why do such a large portion of softcore model threads (and even mainstream women threads!) have someone asking:
"Did she do hardcore?" (Okay, aside from the the obvious reason that the questioner didn't bother to think that if there was HC the model would be in a HC thread ... ) Does having a picture of them published imply that a person will f*c* everything when the next camera comes along or something? e.d. |

Add to that our natural inclinations as horny guys-that's probably a redundancy-that we'd like to see even our favorite mainstream actresses getting it, and we probably all fantasize, to one degree or another, that there's some set of circumstances that could take place, that it could be with us. On the other hand, there are some of my favorites who never did any hardcore scenes, and the fantasy is probably sweeter because of it. Julia Hayes, for example, or Ashley Lauren ("Little Miss Curious" hardly counts). So, it's probably just as normal to ask whether a nude model has done porn, as it is to ask, when your best friend tells you, "The wife and I met my kid's teacher last night", "Was she hot?" Let's never grow up!

Thank you, Black Baron, that makes a lot of sense. (I'm going try "person of horniness" because I don't want to alienate any women of similar feelings. ) e.d. |

I know many professional visual artists and photographers and their whole attitude towards their work is professional, and the models very much appreciate that. These are relationships of respect. I have no idea what may or may not happen in the industries that could be considered "Hollywood" or "porn" and they *seem* to have a culture of disrespect. However, I have seen many examples of "just doing a job" in these industries, too. As an example, for the "gaping, glistening, wide-open, crotch shots" models usually apply this gluey but very sticky KY jelly stuff to themselves that 1) irritates the skin so it becomes slightly inflamed, 2) make the vagina lips glisten and unnaturally stick open, 3) and feels uncomfortable, like partially dried glue or candle wax. There are some professional photoshoot "out-takes" occasionally printed that you might like. They seem to reflect the comfort and trust that artists and models share when working. http://www.vintage-erotica-forum.com...3&postcount=64 http://www.vintage-erotica-forum.com...16&postcount=3 If you find out more, I would be interested in hearing about it. e.d. |

Less is Less, More is More
For those of us who grew up with M@yf@ir and PŁnth0use etc in the 70's and 80's we were lucky to ever see more than one good set of a particular model, and with the early mags this meant that even if a girl spread her legs, she was airbrushed or the photo printed in such a way that you never saw so much as a lip. How things have changed - if only there wasn't so much shaving and 'body-art' going on - for the better. It is a joy now to find many of these same models were posing for more explicit sets (continental or American) which we would have done anything to get our hands on back then. To then discover that some of these 'demure' girls were in fact porn legends is an even greater thrill - the whole point of a jazz mag/porn is that you get to see what you wouldn't/shouldn't normally be able to: it's great to see a good looking girl fully dressed at the start of a shoot but if she's not at least full frontal by the end then there's always a sense of let down (IMHO). I could never see the point of page 3 girls being featured in mags who refused to go full frontal; pretty yes, but when you were buying porn you didn't want to have to use your imagination (else we'd all have been happy with the Littlewoods catalogue): You only have to compare UK mags with their counterpart American mags to see we were being fobbed off (thanks to UK law) with Beaver shots whilst the same set would run elsewhere with fingering or even insertion - and I personally feel cheated that at the time we missed out! I've been discovering loads of models whose sets I loved but were on the soft side actually posed far more provocatively... which is nice. So if we find pics of our favourite models going all the way, then what a bonus - and it's hardly suprising, knowing that 'Karen from Brighton' might actually be 'Jenny from Ohio' that the question should be raised - has she ever done hardcore? Cos I for one would sure like to know...

I have a copy of mayfair somewhere with an interview with Sammi Jessop. In it she says she was offered big bucks to do hardcore porn and very nearly did, but she changed her mind at the last minute. Of course the interview could be made up. I'll post it when I find it.
