Falling Down (1993)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106856/

One of my favourite films ever, Michael Douglas is the unnamed recently unemployed US Defense department worker who is having a particularly shitty day, leaves his car in the middle of a massive traffic jam and snaps, it also happens to be cop Robert Duvall's last day on the job and their paths are destined to cross and end in tragedy

Checked out this 80`s cheese-tastic-classic

About six (Dull arsed) friends who fly off on a weekend getaway and are suddenly beset by engine trouble. They're forced to land on a remote island (As you would be). Looking for shelter and crying baby shoes, are grateful to encounter Ma and Pa and their children . An eccentric family (Mine beats theirs hands down though) living in the island's backwoods.

But what begins as simple hospitality turns into full on hostility (Did you see what I did there ) . Actually it turns into a terrifying race for survival as the friends start disappearing one by one... Muhahahaha

Now streaming this

Blah blah the "Plot" is sort of the same as before with our demonic doll getting up to no end of mischief again. Bless her

Hey I like such movies ok

I've been after this for years

Night Fright aka E.T.N.: The Extraterrestrial Nastie (1967)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062036/

I was always fascinated by the VHS covers but never managed to find a shop that had a copy, although I have watched countless thousands of cheapo horrors

John Agar is the small-town Sheriff investigating a series of vicious attacks in the woods that start after a strange object apparently fell to Earth , it turns out it was a spaceship containing animals that are mutated by radiation. Very dated but still great fun with a very limited budget, the creature itself is pretty good though ... what little we see of it

Stomping Ground (2014)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2517298/

A small group of friends, three country folk from North Cartolina including a women and her boyfriend from Chicago head into the woods to hunt for Bigfoot. Lots of redneck humour helps it along .....

It

The story is like the book. The kids do a good job. But I liked Tim Curry's Pennywise better.

Lightbulb All hail 123h ulu.com , as it`s enabling me to catch up on classics I never saw back in the day

Nope didn't see this at the time (1982) as was a mere MiniJoker.
Ok ok , have you stopped picturing me and going "Awwwww"
Good.
Then let`s move on

Yes you saw that van packed right
We`re typing about Martin Landau , Grossberger and Jack Palance. To name but three of the great actors involved in this fine fun fest
Is about four superb nutters who escape their asylum after a major power cut. Oh and when I say nutters I mean perfection personified psychopaths. They escape seeking revenge on their new psychiatrist who they believe killed their former psychiatrist. As they would , since they`re deranged. Still me I say all power to them and commend the lip smacking amount of mayhem they create.

Everybody involved is top notch yet a special mention in dispatches has to go to Martin Landau for his certifiable performance

Mother!

I guess one of the best things I can say about Darren Aronofsky film Mother is that it turned out to be completely different than what I was expecting.

You have a couple who seem to be in an isolated area he's focused on his writing, shes focused on fixing up their home,an uninvited guest shows up,followed by another and another and so on

I admire Aronofsky's unique vision and what he is trying to say and his interpretation of the subject matter the film focuses on.
All of the actors do a great job including:Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem,Ed Harris
& Michelle Pfeiffer

The film is visually stunning and there are some scenes that are truly nightmarish and that some may find off putting

I also recognized how pretentious the film could be at times and also repetitive and drawn out

I have my own opinions about the films theme and ultimate conclusion I actually see it as two different interpretations
I actually hope people see the film because I would love to see what their interpretations are

Scale of 1-10 a 7

AMERICAN ASSASSIN

Dylan O'Brien (glad he's back on his feet)as Mitch Rapp get's engaged to his girlfriend on a beach in Spain and soon after terrorists attack and his girlfriend is killed and he is wounded .18 months later he seeks revenge and in doing so attracts the attention of a government black ops group called Orion.

O'Brien does well in his role, but Keaton definitely outshines everyone

The action sequences were well choreographed.
Some scenes are very intense and definitely not for the faint of heart.

Some of the film felt recycled and predictable and im shocked it took four writers to come up with the script ,but I still enjoyed it for what it was.

Scale of 1-10 a 7½

Haunted Changi (2010)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1810636/

I know it may be a bit highbrow for some of you

A documentary film spend two days in the abandoned Changhi Hospital in Singapore, the site of many Japanese atrocities in WW2 although let's be honest you could say that or every place those brutal little buggers occupied

Pretty much standard haunted house movie fare

Night of the Living Dead (1990)

Trailer

Barbara (Patricia Tallman) and her brother Johnnie (Bill Moseley) are visiting their mother's grave in a secluded cemetery in Pennsylvania. Not long after their arrival, the siblings are attacked by a zombie and while Barbara manages to escape, Johnnie is killed. Barbara spots what seems to be an abandoned farmhouse, seeking refuge, but is attacked by a pack of zombies. A man called Ben (Tony Todd) arrives just in time and helps her get rid of the undead. They begin to barricade the doors and windows and realize that a group of survivors were hiding in the house's basement. Despite some tension and distrust withing the group, they're forced to work together in order to survive, surrounded by a horde of zombies.

Not a bad remake of the 1968 original by George Romero. But if you're in a situation in which you have to choose between them, pick the original as the remake follows it almost in detail. The only difference is probably the ending which is much better in the original.
