Starting in 1985 the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce realized what a gold mine they had, and started charging. Now the requirements are: 1) having appeared/done a film, record, stage, or tv appearance and 2) Give the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce $40,000. Approximately a tenth of U.S. residents (including myself) would qualify, except what kind of narcissistic asshole would pay 40 grand... Oh, that kind of answers your question, doesn't it?
