If you'd care to start a thread featuring them, go ahead, I certainly don't mind. Although if you searched Youtube I'm sure you'd find many. |

In Independence Day, even the bloody dog gets in on this act.... For some reason, given all the other reasons to pick holes in that film, the incredible dog escape annoyed me most.

For those of you who understand science and the basics of space (like what zero gee is), a good show to drive your blood pressure up is the new Defying Gravity here in the US. Written by people who failed grade school science there are way, way too many basic science errors in it to list (and its only had three episodes to date!).

the laws of gravity certainly don't seem to apply in most martial arts movies or sequences nowadays

Oranges
In the film The Sound of Music during the song Doh a Deer, Julie Andrews and the children are at a fruit stall where a crate of oranges is stamped with Produce of Israel. This is an impossibility unless time travel can account for it as the state of Israel did not exist during WW2. Even if it did, I don't think a Nazi controlled country would be trading with them on ideological grounds.

People who are strangled, knifed, shot, or have their throats cut almost always die quietly in a heap. This often happens immediately, but can take as long as 6 to 8 seconds.

Am I correct in surmising that the lady is about to inflict a very unpleasant bruise and friction burn on her left forearm?

The hero is involved in the mother & farther of a brawl, he can & does knock people out with one punch!!!, he gets a chair & a bottle broken over his head,
he appears next day, with a sticking plaster over his eye!!! The last time I got beaten up in a pub fight, I couldn't walk properly for two weeks & my face swelled up so much, my mates thought it was someone else. How long do you believe makers of furniture would stay in business, if you could break it with the ease it occurs in almost every action film. Why do the characters in CSI & The X Files never turn on the bloody lights!! I would like to know where I can buy a torch, thats like searchlight when switched on. Every home or office in suspense films has lighting so dim you'd bloody near cripple youself everytime you moved around the place. What about the World's greatest assassin who with one shot can bring down a butterfly in flight, but can't hit the hero despite letting off 125 rounds from an Uzzi machine gun. |
