this is a toughie, but here goes(not in any particular order)
Waiting in the weeds - The Eagles Don Henley of the rock group The Eagles in "Waiting in the Weeds", on their 2007 release, Long Road Out Of Eden, makes reference to "the tide's eternal tune, the phases of the moon, the chambers of the heart, the egg-and-dart." The allusion is apparently in keeping with the song's theme of life's ongoing and dependable cycles, i.e., repeating patterns. Storms - Fleetwood Mac When you love someone - Bryan Adams I just can't help believing - Elvis Beautiful World - Paul Carrack The boys of Summer - Don Henley Songbird - Eva Cassidy God Only Knows - Beachboys Wuthering Heights - Kate Bush Don't let the sun go down on me - Elton John There is no accounting for taste! Virtually impossible for me. I could draw up a list of 10 tonight, but if you asked me again this time next week I'd give a different answer.
Of the ones listed so far, certainly the Beatles' In My Life and Steely Dan's Do It Again would be constants. I'd always find a place for Linda Ronstadt's Lose Again too, but the rest would vary according to my mood. |
