I lived in Chicago for about six months back in the late 70's.
Coming from Australia the snow, ice and wind chill factor came as a helluva a shock.
We were based at the great lakes naval station for training on the new frigates we were buying, does anyone know if it is still there?
I know the government routinely shuts bases down when the need to buy a new Lambo or something.
