Post TV Show Episodes That Made You Cry Like A Baby

Yet another one of my threads destined to be buried in the deepest corner of the VEF dump. Anyway, here goes:

What are some of the saddest television episodes you can remember?

Here's one that always gets me bawling. From MASH Season 8. Goodbye Radar Part 2:

Gopher It. The last episode of S04 of Corner Gas where Lacey leaves Dog River forever. I was actually choked up at the end of the episode.

Jack Duckworth's passing in Coronation Street to the wonderful strains of Matt Munroe.

Are you waiting for me my swamp duck?

"Abyssinia, Henry", the final episode of the third season of M*A*S*H. The whole family watched that when it first aired, there wasn't a dry eye in the room.

That ending with Radar reading the cable was added in at the end. It wasn't part of the script, so the other actors didn't know about it except for Burghoff. Their reactions were original or created on the spot.

West Wing. Where Simon Donovan, the Secret Service agent assigned to CJ Cregg, having just agreed to go on a date with her now he is not on her detail, is gunned down in a convenience store. (Mark Harmon and Allison Janney).

OK. In a thread where you have to make yourself look like a wimp I might as well go for it.

I'm a huge fan of Survivor. At times you put your full support behind a certain contestant, Australian Survivor series 1 of the relaunch, Kristie was the outsider who worked her way to the final three. She had to win final immunity or she was gone. In a gruelling challenge she broke down emotionally but kept going. She finally beat Lee in an epic challenge. I turned off the dvd went out into the kitchen and cried.

Apart from that I can't really remember to much emotion as an adult. I was upset at the final moments of Cheers in the episode where Diane left. The final moments of Blakes 7 and the death of Ryan Chapelle in 24 season 3 were stunning moments that made me feel empty.

The Leftovers S02E08, the end when Kevin has to kill Patti.

The Leftovers S03E07, when Kevin has to kill his identical twin (i.e. a part of himself).

Quantum Leap - "Mirror Image" (S05E22)

The final episode, where Sam not only runs into many familiar names from the past, rescues mine workers, discovers his own destiny is in his hands, but also deals with an issue for his buddy, Al. Has me weeping every time I watch it, no matter that I was never a massive fan of the show first time around in the 90s.

And the final offhand announcement that Sam never made it back to His own time...
