Ah, the agony of translation. I prefer, "Preferably a terrible end to horror without end."

Clearly we need a native speaker Where's Brecht?

Not Brecht, sorry ...but a native too

"It´s better to stop something even if it causes pain than to continuously suffer pain with no end in sight"

or short:

"Massive pain right now, but no longer pain in future!"

BTW, haroldeye´s version comes very close

I don't agree with everything he says here, but he definitely understands what the EU is about

His key words are "Never again" and I completely back him there

There's only two Brexit options: May's deal or a no-deal Brexit. [there's of course a range of no-Brexit possibilities, but they ain't happening]

May has the better of the argument here: "this is the best deal you're going to get from Europe, so vote for it already".

I admire her for standing on the strength of her bad hand.

Its like have a pair of deuces, and the conviction that no one else has anything better-- and being right.

It's a bit like a Congressional budget crisis, isn't it?

Parliament has not so far been capable of agreeing on any Brexit matter except to be against anything the government suggests. I'm fine about them being against Mrs May's deal because it is a monumentally shit deal. But most of the MPs appear to oppose her deal because it is not sufficiently weak and subservient, and prefer to be even more obedient to the EU and to have even less autonomy.

There are two preferable alternatives to to the Deliverance Brexit.
  1. No Deal.
  2. Recission of Article 50 and full membership with at least the poor and limited influence that being a full member affords.

It is not logical to leave and then seek a slave relationship. No deal is much better.
