Does the lack of number of 'Thank's given by the member have any effect on if or where or when they are allowed to post? If not, does it matter if the member hasn't 'Thanked' any posts? And if 'Thanking' posts is so important to you, why have you not 'Thanked' the member's post that you quote, considering that receiving 150 'Thanks' allows members to post model ID threads etc? Sorry for being off-topic, but I ain't the only one.

My uneducated guesses: Chance that we have been hit by a nuclear or biological weapon strike <5%. Chance that we are in economic free fall and the mother of all depressions has begun >75%. Don't complain about your job, you may not have one soon. I will spare you my assessments of the "really stable genius" and the mental capacity of voters who are still in his camp. |

Be careful where you're waving that red hat, you may provoke a stampede. But seriously, I'd like to think 90% of contributors to this thread are smart people - Trump voters or not. The former may well have realized that they made a yuuuuge mistake in voting for him, and can no longer defend him. So why bother coming here anymore? Meanwhile, in today's news ... CNN broadcast clips of the forthcoming James Comey interview. There were a couple of great lines in it, but this was a killer. Comey says: “I honestly never thought these words would come out of my mouth, but I don't know whether the current president of the United States was with prostitutes peeing on each other in Moscow in 2013. It's possible, but I don't know.” Trump is, of course, already rage-Tweeting about Comey, calling him a "liar" and a "leaker", and saying it was "a great pleasure" to fire him. There is a lot of confirmation bias going on in this discussion. Speaking only for myself (of course) I reckon that the odds for Donald Trump winning in 2020 are better than evens. In order to change the odds, the Democratic Party needs to start representing real people and stop representing Goldman Sachs. Their insistence on enforcing the candidacy of Hillary Clinton in 2016 in the face of extremely clear signs of her remarkable unpopularity is the move which made Donald Trump's win happen. In 2020 Mr Trump will be the incumbent and it will not be so easy to beat him as it should have been in 2016.
Hillary Clinton was a dreadful candidate and the Democrats were a deplorable party (to borrow a phrase); corrupt, arrogant and the servant of vested interests. People expected better and made up their minds to reject this offer. Mark my words. Donald Trump will win in 2020 unless the Democrats can humble themselves and speak to ordinary voters as they have failed to do not only in 2016 but also in the time since then up until today.
