People have mentioned diseases & infections. If you're going to do anal always always always use a condom, the only exception is if its with your absolute life partner who you're going to be with for the rest of your life & you trust completely about where they've been before. Make sure you use water based lube (lots of spit will do if necessary), oil based lube weakens the condom & can make it split. All this is very important AIDS is much more likely to be transferred during anal which is why it hit the gay community so hard.

Fully agree with the above. As people have already mentioned can lead to urinary tract infections etc.

Once treated a male patient who developed Riters Syndrome after engaging in some bum-fun with his wife. Usually it is a infant disease, like a sort of mega-rampant nappy rash that can lead to lots of skin sloughing off like a serious burning. It is therefore quite dangerous. Fortunately this chap had a sore willy, inflamed eyes and inflamed joints and not widespread skin loss. Pretty rare sort of thing, but nevertheless, had needed a course of some pretty serious IV antibiotics.

The houseman (junior Dr) was mortified by the prospect of advising the guy about his sexlife!

Generally speaking, symptoms can include arthritis (inflammation of the joints), inflammation of the urethra/cervix (urogenital inflammation), Conjunctivitis (inflammation in the eyes), problems with the skin, flu-like symptoms, changes in a persons EKG, and rarely problems with the heart and other symptoms. Let me stress that every one of these symptoms resemble those of many other illnesses. Only a doctor can diagnose Reiter's Syndrome! Generally speaking, these symptoms resolve completely within 2 to 6 months, but may take longer in some people. Recurrences of these symptoms can occur in some people as well.
In summary, Reiter's syndrome itself is not an STD, but can be a rare complication of the STDs listed above."

So it's a bacterial infection, which can occur in a similar way to any other infection, fum bucking being only one of many.
