Is it possible to block/filter out threads on the forum?
I am a forum noob, so apologies if this is a stupid question. Is is possible to mark threads so that regardless of whether they are updated they never display, even though recent posts would bring them to the top of the forum? I would really like to be able to hide content that doesn't interest me, as there is a pornucopia of content on here but it can be quite tiring on the eyes and brain scanning through thread titles in some of the forum sections. For example I'm not really interested in scans of numerous regional variations of famous american magazine brands, so it would be nice to be able to make those threads "disappear" so they don't push other content off the first page or so.

What you need to do is subscribe to any threads that interest you. This will pull up a list of new posts only from those threads when you refresh your control panel. Do this by hitting the "Thread Tools" tab situated toward the top of the page.

I know about thread subscription, and it is great if you want to keep updated on specific threads e.g. you are a fan of a particular model and want to be notified when someone posts something new. But if I subscribed to every thread where I found some content I liked, then the notifications would be unmanageable. I want to filter out threads which don't interest me so I can randomly browse whats left as the mood takes me and still stumble on new things like models I have never heard of before, and then decide whether I want to look again.
